I was Hanging out in a Kaal Haz Res site last night. A few cmdr's wanted to wing up so we did. So we're doing our thing and another wing is doing theirs. I'm not sure what happened ? An old feud ? Someone threw litter out of their window ? But all hell broke lose and it was us against them. This happened a few times with different wings, both mine and theirs. It turns into madness. There was a few cmdr's who logged and a group that just wanted to destroy any and all so it wasn't perfect but it was SUPER COOL! Had a lot of fun last night. For those who don't do PvP, and I'm new at it, your missing out. Thanks again cmdr's. o7

I love that about ED, the spontaneous wing melee that break out and become epic hour long pitched battles, what my friend Kinmob calls a "rebuy mill."

I can't help but think that the new rebuy feature is going to dampen these kinds of engagements.

Serious question since I don't partake: Is it currently standard practice for participants in these kinds of engagements to use the Sidey suicide exploit afterwards?

No, but typically after everybody participates in a battle such is this they aren't all tagged Wanted in every system across the bubble with double rebuys due upon destruction.

Just wondered since you said the new rebuy feature rather than the new PF bounties.

Just FYI, Sandro already confirmed that double bounties are a bug:

Yes, this is a bug. You should not be getting double rebuy if you don't change ship.

Actually, we're looking at this, we're going to see if we can't make the penalty a difference value between the ship used in the crime and the current ship, which should be a little more robust.

I usually fly alone. But having friends come to my rescue in the blink of an eye was cool. Over 130 mil in rebuy screens so I might have to fly south and run some taxi missions for awhile, but worth every second.

Haha, yeah, gotta have a good income source for sure when you play that game. What's your total rebuy debt? I haven't checked in a while, but mine was nearing a billion the last time I looked.

haha, Yea I like to keep around a billion pocket change. My rebuy is 46 mill. so it eats through that bill real fast.

Not that I approve of winged ambush ganking, but wings battles involving powerplay undermining vs. guarding would be ok imo.

Most of them were just unplanned skirmishes and you had to survive. Depending on the situation or what happened ( usually an errant shot) they were the aggressor or we were. It was fun.
