Back when I first read The Silver Locusts back in the 70’s (it had a TV adaptation called “The Martian Chronicles”) I remember thinking, “rocket ships that land on their tails? Haha, funny ideas from pre-space age 50’s”
Then during the 80’s I got into reading old Dan Dare collections from The Eagle comic and while I loved the stories and art, I thought the spaceship designs were all horribly dated and old fashioned.
Today I look at the news of SpaceX’s new Starship Mk1...
