Angry Joe - possible E: D ambassador?

Do any of you guys watch Angry Joe's game reviews on Youtube?

He's.... different. But beyond the swearing, and comedy and general messing about is a talented, clever and seemingly very likeable character.

I've written several times to encourage him to take a look at Elite Dangerous, but never had a reply, but his channel is massively popular so I'm not surprised.

My thought was, he'd probably love the game based on what I've seen of his tastes, and he could introduce it to thousands of his viewers. Does anybody have a line to him or just want to try contacting him?

Here's his review of Enemy Unknown for the uninitiated. :)

Perhaps when the full game is released then definitely. I'd err on the side of caution with getting a beta review out there after having seen a general negative vibe towards 'early access' stage games from the likes of AJ and TB.

I find him mostly agreeable until he starts talking about controversial social topics and politics. However after following him for a long time (since 2011?), he normally leans towards [prefers] 'casual' action orientated games. The current state of Elite is really ill suited to his game-style preference until dynamic combat zones and wings/alliance makes it in.

Plus he's already supporting the Mandate and Star Citizen.

PS: If he does play the game at its current state - it will most likely be a twitch livestream.

EDIT: Actually after reviewing his video playlists, I just remembered he was always more of an RPG player and story driven player. He'll most likely be lost or bored in the vast emptiness of elite space... Unless all the promised features are done ;)

Better wait for the release, yes. Angry Joe is not always merciful. Although I tend to agree with almost all his reviews.

I like Joe - he's one of the few reviewers out there who give indepth and honest reviews. And as he's a Star Citizen OB, he's obviously interested in the genre.

But I agree with Kewbie in that he seems to prefer games with strong narratives and/or group pvp action - not something E:D really has going for it right now.

It's been a while since his last review, he seems to have migrated almost entirely to doing twitch livestreams which is a shame.

I already spammed the hell out of his forums back in 2012 when ED was on Kickstarter. I posted every single update and nobody really took any notice tbh. They were all interested in Star Citizen, however ED has come along way since and the SC crowd are starting to take notice nowadays.

I'd say it's better to let the Youtubers review the release version of the game. Though the promise is obvious, I don't think the game's really in a state to show-off to the gaming masses yet, and the harm done by a negative first impression is not easily undone...

I hate this dude he thinks if i scream/rage loud enough all people listen to me. This guy i lightyears away to get taken seriously.

I used to like him but now I can't stand the guy and I've long since unsubbed from his awful videos. I could list many reason why I'd vote NO to this, but I won't bother.

Personally I don't want any youtube guy as an ambassador but if I was forced to have one, it would be AlphaOmegaSin, at least the guy is a passionate gamer and doesn't support whichever company pays him off.. unlike certain ones :p

I don't give a monkeys what anyone says or does not say about any game - unless they know me personally and know the kind of things I like and dislike.

I will always make my own mind up.

Elite: Dangerous will sell itself, it may be a slow burn to start, but I'm certain it will pick up pace after full release.

I reckon totalbiscuit would give a fair review on this game tbh.
Well as reviews goes with his utube vids.As tec there not suppose to be reviews.

I really like Angry Joe and wish he'd put out more content these days. I learned about him through being interested in SWTOR where he did some interviews with the developers.

In interviews he's often asking the hard questions others aren't. He's not new to indie games and also previewed Divinity: Original Sin. I hope Frontier lets him do an interview if he asks them. In the Angry Army community there's a rising interest in Elite.

Last night the Angry Joe Show did a twitch stream of ED (I accidentally stumbled across it). It was two or three of his friends, and it was incredibly frustrating to watch one of the guys do nonstop complaining.

His videos are really funny and I do find myself agreeing with him alot.

But he hasn't made any review videos for a while ( watchdogs was the last I believe) but he is a SC backer.

I found a little of this and well.. all I can say without raising mod attention is 'Americans of lesser intellect'.

The moaning was just so pathetic and ridiculous, they seemed to have no clue about Elite at all.
