I hope that there is atleast one mode where you can't just buy animals for your zoo from an unlimited list. You'd start a zoo and you can adopt from eg: circuses, animal shelters, animal rescue, private collections, zoos that go out of business, etc etc.. By making contacts you could build reputation with other zoos and end up being able to adopt some of the more exclusive animals. (Or start a conservation effort)

That being said, I hope there is also a sandbox mode with unlimited supplies. Probably my most used mode in Zoo Tycoon 1/2.

It's one thing that I ever dreamed in ZT2 but I don't think that will happen, but if yes, I will be the first to be happy for that, it's more real

It would also be interesting down the line if it allowed for trading animals between facilities either your own saves, or the community at large (could limit it to players within a certain country/region as well)

I think something like a community marketplace for animals is a great idea and it would perfectly tie together with the breeding mechanics we have in-game. Having to constantly rotate the animals in the exhibit to prevent inbreeding would really increase people interacting with each other online.
I'm imagining something like the pokemon gts system where you can select the animal you want to trade and the game automatically creates a listing with the correct filters for it. This way you could even be able to breed an animal with a specifc look or personality. It would also be cool if you could look up your animals ancestry tree.

An another way could be to choose a place on earth for your zoo and be able to adopt animals from a listing of breed animals of all player's zoos and just pay the transport, that is more or less expensive that depend of the distance of the other zoos. I don't now if it's very clear.
