Animal and Zoo Suggestions

We need a greater variety of birds~ Bolded are the ones I want to see most. It would be cool to have an aviary sector in my zoos. I'd also like to see birds, amphibians and reptiles lay eggs because just seeing them pop into existence breaks my immersion.

Have birds, reptiles and monotremes lay eggs.
Aviaries

Laboratory Facility (for extinct non dinosaur animals) with a new scientist staff type.
Earn extinct animals via research and cloning (costs a hefty price.)
Aquarium and Sea animal themed expansion.

Forgive me for long list and I am sorry if I mentioned an animal already in game above.

Yes, I have played the game. 60.1 hours worth to be exact. I just have memory problems due to the medication I take to deal with my disability . Guess I won't post here again since it's such an annoyance to everyone.

Please stay. It's okay to not remember everything. I'm sure @Bearcat9948 didn't mean it in a mean way (just going by their other postings, they seem pretty nice.) the internet's so hard to get tone across, sometimes things come across a lot different than they're meant to. I have a very sarcastic sense of humor that has often backfired by people taking me seriously or literally, for instance.

At any rate, it's a good list. I hope you are enjoying the game!

I love this game. It's the best zoo simulator out there and this comes from someone who loved Zoo Tycoon. It's simply superior. Thank you for caring enough to ask me to stay.

You are welcome! I too have tried many zoo games to find a (IMO) worthy successor to Zoo Tycoon, always to varying degrees of disappointment. But always unsatisfied in the end. As soon as I saw the trailer for Planet Zoo, I knew that finally, this was that game, and it has not proven me wrong.

It's not perfect, and there's certainly some animal choices I'd rather switch out for other animals, and the online market was a bit of a shock to get used to, but it's just...soooo good.

Yeah, it doesn't have the sheer amount of animals (yet) that Zoo Tycoon had, but the mechanics, graphics and immersion is better. I doubt they'll ever add fantastical animals or dinosaurs (which is fine with me) but that should be saved for a separate game imo. I like the realism. I'd like to see more color mutations among the animals, though.

Most of the birds require flight mechanics, and we won`t see that before an actual avian DLC comes out. And giving that it took one year to implement dive mechanics i wouldn't expect it too soon.

And unless you`re talking about rather recently extinct species, prehistoric animals like mammoths, smilodons and terrorbirds will certainly not show up in PZ. With Prehistoric Kingdom around the corner it would be a no-brainer to release a super specific DLC, when there is another game that looks like and shares the feature list of PZ that is all about prehistoric animals. It's more like that i expect PK to move forward in time and include recently extinct animals in DLCs like dodos and such.

Edit: Altough, since they already managed to work out dive mechanics, it shouldn't be a big leap to flying cratures. I mean flying is kind of "swimming" in the air, right?

Prehistoric Kingdom? Want it. Just looked it up. Yeah I don't mind waiting for them to work things out. I just wanted to vent what I would like to see. There is that song that says "When birds fly they're swimming the sky."

I definitely didn’t mean it in a derogatory way! I was just trying to help by passing along the online zoopedia info in case you were in fact a new player or someone thinking about downloading the game. Don’t worry, everyone is welcome here :)

Sorry about that. I'm just used to people be jerks about things like that. Like in other games like WoW where there are mechanics that I forget. Thank you for being so nice and understanding.
