Animal boxing unexpected

I know that the recent patch aimed to fix this but I'm not sure if I am doing something wrong or other people are still experiencing it. My japanese macaque habitat still have unexpected boxing of them, sometimes one or two. Initially I thought if they traverse off the habitat from a rock or something maybe they'll get automatically boxed up, but nothing glaringly wrong when I check the traversable area heat map.

Nothing changed for me after that patch. My red pandas and pangolins still get boxed up regularly with no notification until they've been "in a box too long" which drives me crazy.

You guys tried cancelling the move and doing it the animals tab in the zoo overlook things? Possibly could help but it probably won't! I had to spam for my animals to be eventually moved/sorted out!:)

It isn't about moving them. Its about animals just randomly getting boxed up for no apparent reason, and no notification that they were until you later on get a notification saying they've been boxed for too long.

I was having this happen in the Ape-renticeship and Panda Park career mode maps. It always seems to happen with climbing animals.

Are any climbable parts of your habitat above the edge of the barrier? I keep getting "animal has escaped" messages for my chimps when they climb to a high section inside their habitat. I think it may be that they are above the height of the outer wall, so the game thinks they have escaped and they are being "caught" and boxed.

In my case I found out boxing is connected with changing/adding feeding or enchantment items. It's happening always when I add new item In habitat.

Mostly except that adding stuff in one habitat can cause animals in ANOTHER habitat to get boxed up.

Also lately I've been doing nothign but animal upkeep, not adding modifying anything in habitats, yet my pangolans are still constantly boxed up for a reason I can't determine.

Quick update on this issue:
Hey all! Thanks for your feedback on this. Just wanted to let you know that we're finalising an update right now which we aim to have out this week. This update will include automatic unboxing when an animal has been boxed by the game, but the unboxing will only happen when the animal is safe! Once this update has been released, please come back to this thread and continue giving your feedback on this issue! :)
