Animal Families you want to see "Completed"

Though not families, the only groups I'd love to see completed are ratites/paleognathes and monotromes. An echidna and rhea are both essential in my eyes and - while I'd view paleognathes as complete without one - a tinamou species would be a wonderful addition.

I'm a bit torn on bears, as with only one species left - and one of my favorites that would be super useful to me at that - I certainly wouldn't be upset to see them completed, but with every new pack potentially being the last, I'm not sure if I want another bear taking up a spot; especially when we got two of them in the last three packs. I would like the ABB eventually though, just preferably in PZ2 or through modding (though I still wouldn't be upset at getting it sooner.) unless by some miracle we have another year's worth of packs left lol.

I agreed about some of the Animal Families to be completed in Planet Zoo.
  • Ursus (bears): American black bear is the last of all eight species of bears to be there.
  • Modern genera of penguins (one species of each genus): one of Eudyptes and one of Pygoscelis. About Megadyptes, were those in captivity?
  • Phoenicopterus: There're greater and American flamingos. Chilean one's the last one to be there
Optional: If either brown hyena or aardwolf will to be there, them all four species of hyenas have to be there.

Bears are missing just one species. It will be a shame to miss on the ABB alone but i also agree with others that i rather get other animals from DLCs... But if there is one more anniversary... Well i'll take it.

They've been adding the ratites and penguins so it would be nice to finsh those groups as well the greater rhea, rockhopper and gentoo would ve my picks for that and that would make them feel complete enough for me.

Optional: If either brown hyena or aardwolf will to be there, them all four species of hyenas have to be there.
I don't care about the brown hyean but i really do want the aardwolf. So sure, why not complete the whole group.

Also, there were frog species, one newt species and one salamander species but not a single toad species is there.

Also there were African monitor lizard and two Asian monitor lizard but Australian monitor lizard wasn't (yet to be) there.

I think going from that, my interpretation will be simply "species from already-represented families I'd like to see": I'll be excluding families with only one species (ex. Orycteropodidae,
  • Testudinidae - I love tortoises a lot so add in Bolson tortoises and Asian forest tortoises and you're virtually set for their representation. Small species like radiated tortoises and Indian star tortoises are better as Exhibit Animals IMO
  • Struthionidae - Somali ostriches are cool, but I don't really need them in PZ
  • Gavialidae - Malayan gharials are neat, but I don't personally need them in PZ
  • Phoenicopteridae - the next flamingo I want is the Andean flamingos because they represent a new genus in a completely different environment from greater flamingos. I wouldn't be against American flamingos though
  • Phasianidae - tons of options much like Bovids. You have Western capercallies, Congo peafowl, domestic turkeys, Himalayan monals, silver pheasants, Temminck's tragopans, and many other excellent options
  • Varanidae - while there's a great great of fantastic options, I think the two I'd like to see most are lace monitors and crocodile monitors
  • Crocodylidae - I know Nile crocodiles are the hot stuff but there's tons of other species I'd like to see before them. Species like West African crocodiles, Central Slender-Snouted Crocodiles, and Cuban crocodiles would all be more worthwhile additions IMO
  • Casuariidae - given that we already have Southern cassowaries and grassland cassowaries, I don't see the need for having the other 2 species of cassowary
  • Alligatoridae - I think the 3 species we have in-game do a fine job at showcasing the family's variety, so no others are needed personally
  • Spheniscidae - I think after Gentoo penguins were're good for this family. I only use king penguins anyways because I don't like having to manage the smaller species.
  • Gruidae - the only other crane species I want to see added are grey crowned cranes. After them, I don't need other crane species in PZ
  • Apterygidae - I don't need any other kiwis personally, the one species we have represents this family well enough IMO
  • Anatidae - the newest family to be added to PZ, and tons of options for more additions. Species like Muscovy ducks, Hawaiian geese, white-faced whistling ducks, and red-breasted mergansers would be excellent additions to PZ among many other candidates
Couple addendums:
  • Rheidae - I would've preferred Darwin's Rheas, but the greater rhea essentially fulfils all I wanted from this family
  • Pitheciidae - Not my first choice for our second family of New World monkeys, but the white-faced saki is far from a bad choice. Maybe we could use red titis too but it'd be better to branch out to other NVM families

Optional. If one zebra species will to be there, then all zebra species should be there. There are Grevy's zebra and Hartmann's mountain zebra (subspecies of mountain zebra) to complete all three species of zebras.

Plains (seven subspecies), Grevy's and mountain (two subspecies).
