"Animal has eaten guest food" notification won't go away

One of my aardvarks ate guest food, but the notification won't go away no matter how much time passes or if I reload the save. Do I have to do something specific? I tried quarantine, moving to storage, and sending a vet into the enclosure

I think the animal has to eat its own food for the notification to go away

I wasn't paying attention, but the notification seems to be gone now so I'm assuming he finally ate his own food
