Animal Interaction With Guests

I was thinking about the habitat glass and the one way glass and it peaked my curiosity as to whether or not the animals interact with the guests who are looking at them through the two-way glass. I don't recall seeing any such interaction where say a lion was looking through the glass and swiped its paw at the guests. I did not notice a rub against the glass either. I'm not suggesting that there should be any violent or aggressive animations but rather some sort of animal interaction with the guests. Did I just not see this occur or is it something that just doesn't occur in the game?

Does anyone have any thoughts about this? Maybe you noticed such interactions?

**Not sure if I should post this in general discussion or the wishlist forums as it seems to me that both could be considered appropriate.

I didn't ever notice this if it is in the game at all. Animals seem to stay at least a foot or two off from the fences in general from what I've seen. I think it'd be a really nice touch, but seeing as how there were already issues with animals phasing through walls, it might be a bit too much to ask for.

I did see some animals laying right next to a habitat fence. Personally I did not see any animals walking through the fences. Maybe those that had that happen had habitat walls the were deteriorating?

In either case, the animals swatting their paw's at the guests doesn't require the animal to touch the fence. That part, at least, should be ok

I think it was just a known bug. I had a few animals "escape" despite having high maintained fences and not having any surfaces to climb or jump over. It only happened a handful of times.

Maybe I was lucky and didn't have that bug. Although I did have, I think it was, 3 animals escape. One of which was my fault as I built a stack of rocks for a natural looking habitat too close to the fence. That coincidentally, led to some other bugs. Such as when i paid the fee to catch the animal the keeper got stuck carrying the animal around in a box. The other two escapes were the fence deteriorating.

Hopefully the dev's will have each of these bugs fixed prior to launch.

I watched a Hippo walk over a 3m high concrete wall, and then through the next wall :D

I also watched my Indian Rhino destroy the Chain Link a couple of times before I figured out that Steel Mesh and Chain Link had their durability the wrong way around (said 4 for Chain, 2 for Steel, was actually the other way around in practice).
