Animals fighting due to "overcrowding" when there is plenty of space

I think this is just an issue of the game misreporting the reason, but my Bengal tigers started fighting supposedly because of overcrowding according to the game but they still have way more space than they need. More likely this is yet more of the "soon as children grow up they start fighting their parents" nonsense, but the game is telling me its because of overcrowding.

I think overcrowding in this case means, that the group size exceeds the limit set by the game (for Bengal Tigers that would be 2). You can look up the limit in the Zoopedia.
I guess but calling it overcrowding to me implies space. I mean it gives that same reason when there is truly not enough space so..

I had this problem with elephants, even though there were only three females, one male, and two (or three?) babies. So yeah, it's really unclear what the problem is.

Overcrowding in this game doesn't actually refer to the actual enclosure size/space.It is a reference to the (inaccurate) group sizes etc. in the zoopedia.

Except if you DO have animals in a habitat with too little space it will give you the exact same message so yes it does at least ALSO refer to the enclosure size, hence the confusion in a badly worded message :)

Would it kill them to make the message more clearly state "fighting due to incorrect group makeup" or something? In fact I could have sworn I saw that recently on a species where I Was supposed to only have 1 male and X females but I had 2 males. So yeah even more confusing because it seems it SOMETIMES is more clear.

I definitely saw that "incorrect sex ratio" message recently, I think it was for my African Wild Dogs.

Edit: Hah, there it is again!
