Animals get boxed in their exhibit and moved to the entrance.

Ive built a beautiful exhibit for my red varis and they really like it (99% welfare). Once i couldnt find one of them in the exhibit and started to search - finding them boxed at the entrance. So i watched them a while and saw how they randomly get boxed while walking through the exhibit and moved to the entrance (still boxed).

Am I doing something wrong? forgotten something? Or is this a really annoying bug?

Pretty much all the smaller animals have this happen. I thought they were getting boxed when they went near the entrance, but didn't realize it was just moving the box there. My Chinese Pangolins spend half their life boxed up because I don't notice it.

I was looking through the forums and saw somewhere (sorry I can't quote) that it occurs when a critical (maybe pathfinding?) error occurs - would be nice if they'd unbox themselves or if it would alert you though.

If that is the case then it should inform the user and help them fix it somehow. My Pangolins are on perfectly flat ground and the navmesh shows 0 problems. If there is a pathfinding problem then I would expect it to show up in the navmesh overlay.

I have had this happen as well. I do find that it happens most often as I am trying to get the habitat set up the way I want to. Especially if the animal climbs up onto something - shelter, climbing rig, tree. But once I get the habitat all set, it happens less often - but my bears seem to like to be boxed up.

I had this happen a few times as well (mostly with simians, specifically lemurs) during the Madagascar scenario. I had assumed it was something happening (e.g., somebody getting injured, the response time being quick, and them getting fixed up) but... I was fast-forwarding through time as this was happening so I thought it might have "just been something I missed." But thinking on it, it happened at least 7-8 time during the scenario and I was only aware of it because of an alert that came up saying "creature X has been in a box for too long."
