Animals keep escaping thru walls

I've had a problem the last few weeks that animals keep escaping for me. The thing is, that in the zoo's I'm playing atm, I always use concrete walls and always make sure that any climbing structure or toys that can be moved are far away from the walls to avoid clipping and jumping over. So I couldn't figure out what was happening. Sometimes the animal count as escaped in the middle of the habitat and in those cases I just had to build a box of walls there to prevent it, but most of the times, the animal do infact escape and I find them walking around in the zoo.

But today I finally found one that just escaped and as you can see in the screenshot below, it was as I suspected, they just walk strait thru the walls....

I used to have this same issue, but they patched it out, I haven't really had it in a long time.
Is it always the same enclosure they escape from? Or all types of animals at different places?

Different habitats and different animals. Had this happen to lions, aardvarks, orangutans, cheetas, peafowls and flamingos among others (also the flamingos like to just swim thru the concrete wall). All are in different habitats and all have concrete walls like in the pic, no climable objects or toys near the wall. It has happened in four different zoo's, happens pretty rarely still (can go 10-20 ingame years), but still had this happen about ten times over the last two weeks (not counting the escaped while still in the habitat, that happened all the time until I blocked of that area)

Have the same issue with my Komodo Dragons - they just walk out from the habitat and even brick wall can't stop them

Terrain
  • Added a new Terrain Edit toggle to game settings to allow previous terrain edits around enrichment items and barriers. Found in Options>Game>Global Settings>Disable Animal Navigation Terrain Constraints. This comes with a warning as this can potentially cause problems with the animal navigation.

Do you have these setting enabled? because that was causing problems with me, the animals just walk through the bariers

Just had this happen again, in the same habitat as in the pic above. One of the juvinile cheetas just walked strait thru the concrete wall again :(

But I think I might have found a cause for some of the escapes at least. Both of the times with the cheetas, it happened just before or after they grew up, so can be that the change from juvenile to adult causes a glitch (that still doesn't explain why a 2month old lion or a 15 year old aardvark could do it though)

I notice when I start up planet zoo and open a franchise zoo, often one animal will escaped through a wall. peafowl are the most common as I have lots of them, but have also seen it with ringed lemurs, common warthogs and once with a Bengal tiger.

I've had the same issue twice, I only might have screenshots of the first time. It was babies both times (baby pygmy hippo who swim and he ended up swimming in the air as he passed the glass barrier)

Had the issue today with a full glass barrier habitat. Baby ostriches escaping the zoo (but staying in the habitat) but somewhat clipping near 1 spot everytime.
Spot was clear from any objects.

Replaced all glass with concrete and a few seconds later back to full glass again.. For now, it is fixed.

This was happening to me and it was combination of two things - disable animal navigation terrain constraints was on and there was an another barrier next to the main one. The other barrier was made from ropes that my leopards considered climable.
