Animals started glitching through walls?

Has anyone found after the last update that the animals have started escaping in their Zoos? I've only played one mega zoo since launch and now its -1.2 million in debt because some Tapir kept glitching into the walls and the vets couldnt get to them. So I was literally stuck watching everyone constantly running out of the zoo in panic, with vets stood around twiddling their thumbs and spiralling money! Now it looks like I'll have to start all over again :(

Didn't experience this yet. Maybe it's just a Problem with the Tapir? I do almost never keep them

Edit: Ok, just remembered that it happens with my Caimans but with no other Species, but this happened already before the Update. So I do still assume that it might just happen with a few Species

Hi!
I did experience it. I have a save in one of the tutorial missions. Before latest patch crocs were constantly escaping through walls in the water. Every time there was an alert about dangerous animal escaping. Now there are 2 situations: 1) identical like before 2) like you mentioned - croc just teleported outside his habitat and was just swimming in the river without any alarm.
It may be as with Urufu - only Caimans are escaping constantly.

Send your save file to Frontier and ask them if they can fix it.

Sometimes boxing your animals, remove and place your gate again "resets" the habitat or sometimes even just moving some trees slightly resets some of these issues.

If it's a "old zoo" like a day 1 zoo which already "suffered" many updates - it's more likely to happen. At least that's how I experience it and from most people I know it's similar.

Or like LN said, send your save file to frontier.

I had this problem yesterday with reindeer ignoring the habitat barriers in the arctic research career scenario, the whole herd of ten just keeps running for the hills as if the fence isn't even there. I restarted it a couple of times and then gave up on it. If it was a zoo I had spent a lot of time on, I'd be pretty frustrated.

Just remembered that I've had this Problem once all the time with a Enclosure. It helped to select the whole Fence and replace it with the same Fence. Should do that later with my Caiman Enclosure 🙂

Yea definitely very frustrating to lose the months of effort over it :( But hey starting fresh might be fun..

Interesting to hear that I'm not alone, I'll definitely message it to Frontier. Hopefully they're aware of these issues and can patch it out soon!

Thanks for the tip NL! I'll keep that in mind for next time. With over $1 million in debt I dont have the money to place a new gate at all sadly lol. Deleting loads of stuff around the wall atleast allows the vet to get to the escaped Tapir now. But the guest numbers cant recover quickly enough to put the profits back into the positive before another inevitably escapes and scares loads off again. :cautious: I'll try shuffling some things in the habitat around.

Thanks for the tip Urufu! :) I wish I had these to try before I let the money sink so far now haha.
