Animals to be added to previous DLCs

Adding animals to existing dlcs has been up in the air for a long time, but some good reasons to do it are that more animals add more value to packs but also are a great way to get some of the more diverse and often overlooked species, but also species that we may not get in future dlcs. I have a few ideas to make scenery packs eight animals and animal packs twelve. Deluxe goes up to 5, matching Jurassic World Evolution and Jurassic World Evolution 2's format.

Deluxe Edition:
  1. Gelada
  2. King Cobra
Arctic Pack:
  1. Musk Ox
  2. Walrus
  3. Arctic Hare
  4. Atlantic Puffin WE
South America Pack:
  1. Black Howler Monkey
  2. South American Tapir
  3. Plumed Basilisk
Australia Pack:
  1. Greater Bilby
  2. Superb Lyrebird
  3. Frilled Lizard
Aquatic Pack:
  1. Gentoo Penguin
  2. Brown Pelican
  3. Eastern Hellbender
Southeast Asia Animal Pack:
  1. False Gharial
  2. Fishing Cat
  3. Greater Mouse Deer
  4. Reticulated Python
Africa Pack:
  1. Greater Kudu
  2. Nile Crocodile
  3. Black Mamba
North America Animal Pack:
  1. Mountain Goat
  2. Canada Lynx
  3. Collared Peccary
  4. Alligator Snapping Turtle
Europe Pack:
  1. European Pine Marten
  2. Eurasian Brown Bear
  3. Common European Adder
Wetlands Animal Pack:
  1. Shoebill
  2. Roseate Spoonbill
  3. South American Coati
  4. Green Anaconda
Conservation Pack:
  1. Red Wolf
  2. Golden Lion Tamarin
  3. Southern Corroboree Frog
Twilight Pack:
  1. Wild Boar
  2. Common Brushtail Possum
  3. Tokay Gecko
Grasslands Animal Pack:
  1. Grey Crowned Crane
  2. Blackbuck
  3. Black-Footed Ferret
  4. Frilled Neck Lizard
Tropical Pack:
  1. Geoffroy's Spider Monkey
  2. Bush Dog
  3. Panther Chameleon
Arid Animal Pack:
  1. Greater Roadrunner
  2. Coyote
  3. Yellow-Footed Rock Wallaby
  4. Thorny Devil

These are just my ideas, but we'll see what happens, I think it would be a great idea to add animals to existing dlc, but time will tell.

Taking this as a fun thought experiment, having to add one additional species for each, I'd go something like:

Arctic: Musk Ox
South America: Spectacled Bear
Australia: Tasmanian Devil
Aquatic: Pelican sp.
South-East Asia: Gaur
Africa: Shoebill Stork
North America: Sea Otter
Europe: Wolverine
Wetlands: Chinese Giant Salamander
Conservation: Golden Lion Tamarin
Twilight: Crested Porcupine
Grasslands: Saiga

I don't see this happening for each DLC, free or as a paid upgrade. What about an idea like @Alexjh just wrote. DLCS that add a single animal in for each DLC. It would be paid. It would need to probably be spread over two separate DLC since we're now talking 12 animals.

Thoughts for me:

Arctic - Walrus
South America - Two toed Sloth
Australia - Tasmanian Devil
Aquatic - Mute Swan
Southeast Asia - Lar Gibbon
Africa - Red River Hog
North America - Wolverine
Europe - Wild Boar
Wetlands - Nile Crocodile
Conservation - Northern Hairy Nosed Wombat (one of the most endangered mammals in the world)
Twilight - Kiwi
Grasslands - Crested Porcupine

Great picks. I forgot about the Kiwi for Twilight- would definitely want that over the Aye Aye and I've updated my list.

Option B

Arctic - Musk Ox
South America - Black Howler
Australia - Frilled Lizard
Aquatic - Great White Pelican
Southeast Asia - Burmese python
Africa - African Leopard
North America - American Black Bear
Europe - Wisent
Wetlands - Roseate Spoonbill
Conservation - Golden Lion Tamarin
Twilight - Opossum
Grasslands - Saiga

For me just the Deluxe pack seems really odd with only 3 animals and no exibit animal.
Also I would never forget the missed opportunity of first year anniversary animal and the lack of hypothetical Autumn dlc pack (with year one containing only 3 DLC’s).

So my changes would be:

Deluxe:
Père David’s deer
Ex: Frilled necked lizard

Additional Autumn dlc in 2020 - BIRDS:
Secretary bird
Pelican
Gray crowned crane
Shoebill
Ex: Plumed basilisk

2020 first anniversary free animal:
Addax

But if we would be able to add one animal to every pack I would choose less popular species because I wouldn’t want to take anything important from the future packs and those would be:

Deluxe: Somali wild donkey
Arctic: Arctic hare
South America: Coati
Australia: Echidna
Year 1 anniversary: Addax
Aquatic: Great white pelican
South-East Asia: Lowland anoa
Africa: Serval
North America: NA porcupine
Europe: Wild boar
Wetlands: Père David’s deer
Conservation: Black rhino
Twilight: African civet
Grasslands: Patas monkey

What about a Previous DLC animal pack? Basically, it'll feature 1 animal to represent each DLC? I know, practically an impossible idea, but I don't care:

  1. Black rhinoceros - Deluxe
  2. Musk ox - Arctic
  3. Greater rhea - South America
  4. Tasmanian devil - Australia
  5. Walrus - Aquatic
  6. Gaur - Southeast Asia animal pack
  7. Watusi cattle - Africa
  8. Collared peccary - North America animal pack
  9. Wild boar - Europe
  10. Roseate spoonbill - Wetlands animal pack
  11. Whooping crane - Conservation
  12. Crested porcupine - Twilight
  13. Red-footed tortoise - Grasslands animal pack

For my picks gonna try and pick animals that were different from what came in the dlcs
Deluxe: idk, no theme therefore no best answer
Arctic: snowshoe hare
SA: spectacled bear
AU: Perentie
AQ: green sea turtle
SEA: idk I’m kinda worn out from sea
AF: Hamadryas baboon
NA: roadrunner
EU: Barbary macaque
Wetlands: shoebill
Conservation: Tasmanian devil
Twilight: Wolverine
Grasslands: wisent

This sounds fun, here are my picks:

Deluxe (I forgot lol): Golden Lion Tamarin
Arctic: Muskox
South America: Spectacled Bear
Australia: Tasmanian Devil
Aquatic: Walrus
Southeast Asia: Goodfellow's Tree Kangaroo
Africa: Hamadryas Baboon
North America: Collared Peccary
Europe: Wolverine
Wetlands: Mute Swan
Conservation: Coquerel's Sifaka
Twilight: Virginia Opossum (if you are going to do the trash trinity do it right)
Grasslands: Secretary Bird

I'll add two extra options for each DLC, except for the Deluxe which gets 5 extra animals to make it up to par with an animal pack (8).

Deluxe:
Thomson's gazelle, Komodo dragon, Pygmy hippopotamus.
+ Wisent, Grevy's zebra, Masai giraffe, North American black bear, Cobra (any species).
These animals are meant to give extra flavors to the base game roster, so I didn't add animals that might take away from animals that come in other DLCs. And of course the Deluxe needs to have an exhibit animal... the Cobra! As a nod to the Cobra engine on which the game runs ;)

Arctic:
Polar bear, Reindeer, Dall sheep, Arctic wolf.
+ Musk Ox, Arctic hare, Arctic snow lizard.
Adding an exhibit species, and I think the Arctic hare and the musk ox would suit this pack perfectly.

South America:
Jaguar, Giant anteater, Llama, Capuchin monkey, tree frog.
+ Patagonian mara, Roseate spoonbill.
Adding a colorful bird, and the mara to represent the neglected non-tropical area of the continent.

Australia:
Red kangaroo, Koala, Cassowary, Dingo, skink.
+ Echidna, Grey kangaroo.
Adding the echidna, and the grey kangaroo which I personally like better than the red.

Aquatic:
Giant otter, King penguin, Cuvier's dwarf caiman, Grey seal, terrapin.
+ West Indian manatee, Pelican (any species).
This is the perfect pack to introduce the pelican and go all in with a fully aquatic animal like the manatee.

Southeast Asia:
Sun bear, Clouded leopard, Babirusa, Binturong, Dhole, Proboscis monkey, Malayan tapir, leaf insect.
+ Muntjac, Banteng.
Adding the fanged little muntjac and a personal favorite, the banteng.

Africa:
White rhinoceros, Meerkat, Fennec fox, African penguin, scarab beetle.
+ Baboon (any species), Red river hog.
The baboon seems like a no-brainer, and the red river hog is very popular.

North America:
Moose, Cougar, Prairie dog, California sea lion, Arctic fox, Beaver, American alligator, bullfrog.
+ Wapiti, Wolverine.
The wolverine was very wanted in the beginning, and the wapiti is a classic NA animal.

Europe:
Alpine ibex, European badger, Fallow deer, Eurasian lynx, salamander.
+ Wild boar, Alpine marmot.
Adding the quintessential wild boar, and a funny rodent.

Wetlands:
Asian small-clawed otter, Capybara, Platypus, Wild water buffalo, Nile lechwe, Red-crowned crane, Spectacled caiman, newt.
+ Mandarin duck, Swan (any species).
This is the ideal pack to add waterfowl. A swan is mandatory, and I figured a duck would be nice too.

Conservation:
Przewalski's horse, Scimitar-horned oryx, Siamang, Amur leopard, axolotl.
+ Tree kangaroo (goodfellows/matschie's), Yucatán black howler.
Another monkey to make use of the siamang rig and chorus animation (endangered), and the popular tree kangaroo (endangered).

Twilight:
Raccoon, Wombat, Skunk, Red fox, fruit bat.
+ Tasmanian devil, Shoebill.
Adding the popular devil, and a devilish-looking bird.

Grasslands:
Emu, Nine-banded armadillo, Caracal, Red-Necked wallaby, Striped hyena, Maned wolf, Blue wildebeest, butterflies.
+ Crested porcupine (Indian/African), Viscacha.
Added the popular crested porcupine, and the viscacha which is a personal favorite.

The is no such thing 🙃
Only seems to be vague websites mentioning this lizard and even zoochat is confused. Not a real animal surely, the viviparous lizard is the only mention I can find but that's hardly an arctic specific animal since they are found throughout Europe

Only one picture of the supposed arctic lizard is actually a bleached/albino? lesser earless lizard in sand which has been edited to make it look like snow

I don't know why I thought of, like, some lizard man creature that lives in the Arctic
