Animated Elements

Yesterday I got the idea to have a animationtool in the Game. A tool which could animating every scenerypart by parenting with the tool.
This to let Rocks go in motion or Rails or whatever.
Simply to make mysterious walls in a spooky theme, or to make a real feel crashing minetunnel when driving in it.
So much other ideas to make possible with that tool.

Sounds great only I suspect that this would put such a burden on your CPU/GPU if every item could be animated.

One thing I like about (building) blueprints is that they are not huge in size (to download etc), but this would make them huge as the blueprint would have to store the path an object(s) move.

Would be nice to have physics and gravity for scenery items, or special scenery objects. Some sort of rigid body simulation machine!

There's a program called iClone which does it quite well, you can turn on/off continuous collision and choose between rigid body or soft cloth simulation. The idea is you perform the simulated gravity / physics motion, turn off simulation (because it's a resource hog) then that motion gets baked as a fixed animation in the scene. Pretty advanced thing for Planet Coaster, but it's nice to dream about such things!
