Can someone that has the Alpha explain how the animatronic pirate band works in game. I know that they don't play very long at one time. But how long? And they said that the park visitors deposit coins to make them play. But in all the pictures and videos I haven't seen this happen. And it seems that the people are always walking by never gathering in groups to stop and watch it.

Right now they just play for a bit then shut down for a while and then repeat.
Yes, the guests don't interact with it yet - but they will. Just give it time (the game is still being developed.)
Yes, there is a coin slot. But, I would imagine that there will be options in the final game to either have guests interact in order to start the song (pay money or pay nothing) or that you can set it to play continuously. Hopefully we will also eventually get ride-triggers for the animatronics too.
