Well at least the company is now getting something for its money as its fleet carrier is currently costing me 7,250,000 CR a week to keep maintained whilst it does nothing of any value for me and these are just my weekly losses in a virtual computer game. God only knows what my real world company is currently losing every week at this point in time because I can't get the staff and my investment capital continues to be witheld by some very real world pirate criminal fraudsters who are guilty of intellectual property theft as well as fraud.

It's ok to eat potatos as they don't have any feelings. Pigs will also fry, but unlike the potatos that only have peelings, pigs when you skin them will still emit squweelings.

UPDATE:

CMDR Carbryck: "Captain I would like to jump to Bunda to have a new bar fitted as I would like a beer. Can we jump?"

Captain Reed: "Sorry CMDR, but we have a rupture in tritium fuel line A, and although it has been locked off and is safe, because of Thargoid activities there are major disruptions to the interstellar courier system and it will be several weeks before the repair crew can get the new parts to properly fix the issue. So until then we can't jump."

CMDR Carbryck: "Oh OK then. Thanks Captain."

UPDATE:

CMDR Carbryck: "Captain? Can we jump back to Bunda yet?"

Captain Reed: "Sorry CMDR, but we currently have a biowaste spillage near to the secondary biowaste reprocessing facility, and the entire repair crew are currently engaged in cleaning up the spillage. So we won't be able to jump until this job has been completed."

CMDR Carbryck: "I also have a problen with a faulty air conditioner in my office, can you please send someone up to fix it ASAP?"

Captain Reed: "Sorry CMDR, but until the biowaste spillage has been dealt with there are no repair teams available yet."

CMDR Carbryck: "But if the air processor goes down completely then I won't be able to breathe properly in my office. I might suffocate!"

Captain Reed: "You could always try and set your door controls to leave it open in order to allow air ventilation into the office that way CMDR."

CMDR Carbryck: "Ok Captain. I will try doing that. What about my beer? What am I supposed to do whilst we still don't have a bar?"

Captain Reed: "You could always just fly to an agricultural station and pick up some beer for yourself CMDR."

CMDR Carbryck: "Are you kidding? I only need one pint! Not a whole bloomin' tonne of the stuff! And I don't fly any of my spaceships anymore, I just do office work these days and my computer interface is too outdated to work with any of my ships' control systems now anyway."

Captain Reed: "We can always put in an order for a new updated computer interface system for you to be delivered in the next shipment of goods, but there will be several weeks of delay due to Thargoid activity disrupting the courier networks CMDR. Sorry about that."

CMDR Carbryck: "Yeah Thargoid activity, again. Ok, thanks Captain."

UPDATE:

CMDR Carbryck: "Captain? Has the biowaste spillage been cleared up by now?"

Captain Reed: "Yes it has CMDR"

CMDR Carbryck: "I have just checked the starmap and it seems that we need to get to the Skeggico O Admin System to get this new bar fitted, not Bunda as I had previously thought. So can we now jump there now?"

Captain Reed: "Sorry CMDR, but the ship has just recently developed a fault with the lower centrifuge carousel in the forward accomadation section, and all repair crews are currenlty engaged in replacing the worn bearings to bring it back into full operation. All personel living in the lower decks have been transferred to temporary accomadaton in the upper decks until the repairs can be completed."

CMDR Carbryck: "Do we also have to wait again for new bearings to arrive for several weeks because of 'Thargoid activity' disrupting the courier networks Captain?"

Captain Reed: "No CMDR, not this time. We already have a supply of new bearings in stock on board the carrier in the store. It will only be several more days before the repairs can be affected and we will be able to jump back to the carrier administration system to have your new bar fitted then."

CMDR Carbryck: "Ok. This sounds more hopefull. Thanks Captain."

UPDATE:

CMDR Carbryck: "Captain? Why has it taken so long to fix the lower Centrifuge carousel? You said it would only take a few more days, but it's been months now."

Capt Reed: "Sorry CMDR, but we had difficulty obtaining lithium grease to pack the bearings in with. There was a galactic wide shortage supply of lithium for the past few months and so the job kept getting put on hold."

CMDR Carbryck: "But lithium isn't very expensive so why is it so hard to obtain?"

Capt Reed: "Well because it isn't very expensive hardly anyone bothers mining it CMDR, so there is less of a supply. Also, someone has been making lots of batteries with it and using up large quantities of the galactic supply, and this has also had an effect on it's availability on the open market."

CMDR Carbryck: "But surely if a commodity is in short supply but its demand is high it should become more valuable, meaning that more of the stuff would get mined because people would see more profit in it, thus increasing supply to meet the demand? That's usually how supply and demand works in the real world Captain."

Capt Reed: "Sorry CMDR but this isn't the real world, it's just a computer game without a realistic economy simulator."

CMDR Carbryck: "Ok I see. So is the centrifuge actually fixed now? Can we jump yet?"

Capt Reed: "Yes it is, but no we can't, as we are now awaiting a further shipment of more heavy duty aft reaction wheel gyro assemblies to replace the worn ones as we kept burning through a great many of those whilst we were repairing the lower forward accomadation section centrifuge carousel whilst still retaining the operation of the upper carousel for our personnel to continue living in comfort."

CMDR Carbryck: "Why is that then?"

Capt Reed: "It's complicated CMDR."

CMDR Carbryck: "Ok then, so how long until we get these new reaction wheel thingies delivered, can we not just get them on Whamazon Prime?"

Capt Reed: "Sorry no we can't, they are very specialist hardware that we have to source from an independant supplier. Likely wont be until the beginning of summer CMDR."

CMDR Carbryck: "Ok. Thanks Captain."

UPDATE:

Capt Reed: "Good news CMDR! We now have a full stock of spare reaction wheel assembiles and have swapped out the old ones for brand new stock. We ended up going to Aliblahblah and they sent the package over via their subsidised space freight service in just four days. So we can jump now you'll be pleased to know."

CMDR Carbryck: "That's excellent news Captain. But I've changed my mind about the bar. I've got plenty of beer in stock from the local convienience station now that I've started flying my ships again, and want to jump over to LHS 492 now. So if you can please spool up 'Witch drive', and make it so!"

Capt Reed: "Which drive CMDR?"

CMDR Carbryck: "You know the hype-o-drive thingy, that makes the ship magically disappear and suddenly reappear light years ahead of nearly everyone else."

Capt Reed: "Aye CMDR. Spooling up hyper-drive. Jumping in T-minus 15 minutes. Mark."
