GalNET is no more
Due to constant confusion between my 15 year old Elite IV community (the Galactic Network of Explorers and Traders) and the new in-game news organistation with the same name, I have decided to leave the GalNET name behind and have taken the ageing website down.
Introducing the EDGE Syndicate
In place of GalNET I have decided to create an all-new community called 'The EDGE Syndicate'.
Like GalNET before it the Edge Syndicate is designed to be a force for good. And although there are some similarity's of purpose I have some fresh new ideas that will make the EDGE far more relavent to Elite Dangerous than the previous out of date community.
The stated aim of the EDGE Syndicate is to enhance security and prosperity for its members who engage in all manner of honest space faring activity including Trade, Exploration, and Bounty Hunting.
The EDGE is also the ONLY community that can stand up to organised Pirate and Griefer groups such as those dastardly CODE pirates. Working with our contacts in the Bounty Hunting community the EDGE will hunt down CODE and their like and hound them out of all inhabited systems....
The new site is based around the Bounty Boards that I have been working on for the last week or so, but with new features (and many more in the pipeline yet to come)
Currently there are the bounty boards, Gazeteer of worlds, a news section called 'life on the Edge', and a 'spacers parlance' page.
I could do with some help on this, especially with graphics, and also with writing news articles.
I will also be looking for volunteers to manage each of the three supported Guilds, which are the Explorers guild, traders guild, and Bounty hunters guilds.
