Annoying Interdicions

Is anyone else experiencing interdictions every time you are on the final approach to any space station?
Everytime I am about to drop out of supercruise to dock with a station I am interdicted. It always happens just before I am prompted to disengage the FSD.
Tonight I docked with 8 stations and was interdicted in this manner each time. It's been happening a while now and I am not carrying contraband or wanted.
I wish this annoying feature would stop.

If you have active missions, it could be that is why you are being targeted. Also worth checking that you don't have any engineering commodities given as mission rewards tucked away unnoticed in your hold, they are catnip to NPCs.

The reason you get interdicted just before you are about to get to the station is that you have slowed down enough for the NPC chasing you to get you within range of their interdictor module. While you are accelerating in SC, it's almost impossible to be caught as all ships perform the same speed wise in SC, therefore you will always end up pulling away from a would be attacker until you slow down.
