After I watched this (
https://www.youtube.com/user/realannoyingorange) before even The Guardian Sentinels where introduced in the game i thought that it was the most annoying thing ! Oh Boy i was totally wrong!
Now i Know why did the Thargoids became mad with The Guardians.The Guardian Sentinels are so annoying that i begin to like the Thragoids!
I can't stand the inanity of that annoying orange stuff. Total waste of time.
That said, I don't see the connection at all. I think the Guardian Sentinels are neat in design. I find their concussive blasts, which sometimes cause my SRV to roll over, amusing. Finally, I find their missile attack (which is pretty ineffective) to be absolutely hilarious - especially when a sentinel fires them while under an arch! The missiles immediately detonate and knock it to the ground.
Having to do the Guardian ruins over and over and over and OVER... that's annoying. The sentinels? Nah, they make me laugh.
And like the Thargoids? Never. The only good bug, is a dead bug.
