Anomaly Particles

Hello,

I'm asking this here because no explicit info can be found about this elsewhere.
In FC commodity market we can see "Anomaly Particles" in salvages section. I supposed it can be obtained with research limpet controllers but the only anomalies i found in the bubble was P and Q types and NONE of them retrieved me anything: in fact the research limpets just says "invalid target" despite i can scan them even with a xeno scanner.
So the point is: P and Q types anomalies cannot retrieve anything, but maybe people that are at the galactic center could try to test it with L and T anomalies (i just don't want to make a trip if the current mechanics are broken, it will be just a huge disappointment).
In exchange, if someone can bring me 20t of these, i could pay with anything as i'm storing some thargoid, guardian, lore related stuffs (SAP8 core, illegal research materials, antimatter confinment units) or mining wing to then give a full 512ltd (science has no price! :p ).

Adel.

Nobody has been able to harvest those particles, at least not that I'm aware of. INARA doesn't list that commodity anymore. I've found several threads here and on reddit of people trying to harvest them, to no avail. My best bet is that they were planned but somehow didn't find their way into the game.

That's sad 😢 .
Anomalies has so much potential for future weapons it's a shame fdev don't work on them

Well, when you look at what all those exobiologic probes are useful for (in fact nothing, beside being sold for a few insignificant credits), this is not bound to happen.

I think there are still plans for NSPs. I think it's tied to the un-used feature in the Codex: "rumours".

I suspect they planned some kind of big Interstellar Initiative to investigate all these lifeforms and anomalies, potentially leading to new modules and stuff, and rumours were to guide us to new types as they were consistently added to the game over time. But then they decided to throw 90% of their devs at Odyssey and it got canned for the time being.

That's my theory anyway. It might get dusted off, it might not.

I just hope Odyssey is worth it! 🤞
