Greetings Commander,

Upcoming changes in privacy laws will soon give you more control over how your data is used, and we want to make sure you are happy to continue to receive emails about game news, updates and offers from Frontier Developments.

Our newsletters are a great way to keep up to date with what's happening in the galaxy, from major announcements to exciting community initiatives which bring together thousands of Commanders, at any one time, to blaze new trails together.

Please take a moment to complete our super-simple sign up form in order to continue receiving emailed newsletters from us.

We understand that completing an email sign up form isn’t quite as exciting as being hyperdicted by a Thargoid Medusa or completing that final run to rank up that extra tier in a Community Goal, so we’re giving everyone who completes the form a free decal and Anaconda Paint Job, just for signing up! It’s our way of saying thank you for being a part of this very awesome community. Please sign up by 24 May to be eligible for these in-game items.

These digital goodies will be delivered straight into your account once our Q4 update goes live.

We always want you to enjoy receiving emails from us whether it’s newsletters, big announcements or special discounts of upcoming games but if you ever decide you don’t want to receive emails, you can unsubscribe at any time - just follow the link at the bottom of any email we send.

Thanks!

This has been discussed in the past, but why do Frontier think it's not going to look suspicious when we receive unsolicited emails containing clickable links and absolutely no personalised information to identify the sender as genuine? All it takes is a minor amendment, e.g "Please take a moment to complete our super-simple sign up form, which can also be found by logging on to your acount and going to..." etc etc.

I've looked at the email header, and am fairly confident that this is genuine but I'm still reticent to click on anything in this email without first checking to see if anybody else has received it. If someone from Frontier would like to comment here then that would be even better. I'd still prefer to navigate to the form myself though, by logging in at the Store.

I've disabled any links from the body of the email after pasting it here, just to be safe.
