Another "dormant bounty" question

First of all I'm sorry for asking a question that has been asked many times before. I've tried reading in relevant threads, but haven't found what I'm looking for.

I'm in Yoru, trying to work my rep with The Party of Yoru. I accidentally gave my SLF pilot the "attack" order while I had targeted a clean NPC ship, so I got a bounty. Since I can't pay it off, I've tried killing myself and being killed by System Authority and NPC bounty hunters, but the bounty persist (I had to jump to another system to change ship, since no station in Yoru can take large ships).

Is there any way to get rid of the dormant bounty other than waiting a week?

Edit: like someone suggested, getting scanned and docked in the affiliated system did the trick. When scanned the bounty went form dormant to active, and upon getting killed, I respawned at a station in the system and the bounty was gone.

1. Have a friend or other player scan you with a kill warrant scanner, then shoot you. Be in a Sidewinder so you don't pay huge insurance fee.

2. Get scanned by the system police at the exact system where the bounty was earned. They'll destroy you, so be in a Sidewinder.

Hmm. You may need to be killed by a station affiliated with the faction that issued the bounty. System authority should have fixed it, unless the issuing faction isn't controlling.

The way to get rid of a bounty/fine is to respawn at a place where you're wanted. So you'll want to dock there first, after that it doesn't matter how you die/who kills you, you will pay the fine/bounty as part of the rebuy screen.

I haven't tried getting the station to kill me yet. I'll try that next. Getting killed by System authority ships in the same system didn't do anything, though, so I have some doubts it'll work.

I play ED exclusively alone, so I don't have any friends playing it. But I guess I could go in open and go to Sol or something and hope someone scans me and kill me

Two things to clear the bounty: You must be "wanted" at the time you're killed; you must take of from a station run by the faction that gave you the bounty so that you will re-spawn there when you're killed..

You have a dormant bounty, so you're not wanted. First, you have to get into the station without being scanned, then land. Next, take off in your Sidewinder and wait outside the station, and eventually the feds will scan you, which will make you wanted. Normally, they kill you afterwards, which is what you want, but sometimes they don't, in which case switch off your shields and boost into the side of the station until you explode.
