Another game ripps off Frontiers anaconda

Hei Devs,

Found this on the Microsoft store

https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/p/n...wars/9pkbltt3v5rk?activetab=pivot:overviewtab

clearly the picture is an Anaconda, even see the SRV bay underneath

It even has a space "Odyssey" .....

"In the game you can build a space station and assemble a huge fleet, contact the unknown alien civilization, and experience the space Odyssey with your friends in the dark endless deep air. "

although the wright brothers adapted the design to take a ride, early mans flighted arrow was really the first aircraft which was a design inspired by necessity
of course in space that all goes out the window if someone opens the airlock;)

That piece of art is an obvious Elite: Dangerous anaconda rip-off. Not inspired by, not derived from the same thing, not convergent evolution, but a blatant copy.

Frontier has no claim on the 'Odyssey' title, which is ~2800 years old and has been used in a figurative sense to refer to 'a long adventurous journey' for about 150 years.

as for odyssues I would have married the beautifull nymph and chosen immortality
if you ask me he made a bad call there but each to our own I suppose
then again if calypso was any thing like Annie Wilkes and legend does suggest she was then he probably did make the right decision

does anyone remember the terran trade authority books? eg http://www.terrantradeauthority.com/tta-books-2/spacewreck-ghostships-and-derelicts-of-space/
of the 70s looks like the spacecraft art from them
I find a lot of sci fi took inspiration from this old art collection elite lore seems a little familiar too
I have the full set my friend, excellent art books really and the stories that go with the art work isn't that bad, I just love them. Oh I see you also love 2000AD, late 70's and early 80's art work in that comic was awesome, Ian Gibson I think drew it then mostly.

yup back in the late 70,s there were only few things on my media list I thought worth watching sat morning tis was
the muppets and 2000AD every thing else sucked for me back then , I did not mind things like tales of the unexpected fawlty towers or the Gerry Anderson stuff
the choices of available accessible media back then for me was really very very small if it wasn't for the books like EE doc smith, borrowed from my friend and the derelict buildings to find a quiet spot away from home, had to get away from my crazy older sis & mad house i would have gone nuts of the sheer boredom back then...….
