Newcomer / Intro Another noob with a question

So after 20 hours in ED I managed to buy another ship. 2 actually. An Eagle, and a Hauler. I like to keep my hauler around this one area I've seen a lot of mining resources (LT 18486). However it didnt have a shipyard, so I had to store it at LHS 3447. Well my Eagle is at Chiba, is there no way for me to store my hauler at LHS 3447 and retrieve my Eagle at Chiba? Or am I a noob that is missing something? I guess that's my first question. Question number 2 is the only resource I've found is Bauxite haha. Is there a way to tell what resource is where on the system map? I've searched for it, but I guess I have too many unexplored areas because no planets are showing "mineral rich" on my system map. Thanks again for the help. RVBCABOOSE in game feel free to add a useless noob.

I can't help with Q#2, but for Q#1, no, you're not missing anything. If you want to keep two or more ships, you have to buy a sidewinder to go to the other location, sell the sidey, and take your second ship back home. I have not seen the devs say there's another way to do this in the future, but who knows. My advice is to sell the ship you're not using. Yes, you take a 10% loss. But when you want that one back, just sell the ship you're in a buy that other one and re-kit it.

You can buy a sidewinder, fly it to your eagle, then sell the sidewinder after switching to your eagle. If you have to outfit the sidewinder at all, all those components before selling the ship (so sales are done at a small loss but module sales are not).

Howdy,
been flying that area for some time. I have a notebook that I keep track of my findings (really helpful)
KINI: imports indite, Bertrandite and Gallite Go to ZMEYAAYA they export Indite
ZETA AQUILAE : exports lepidolite, bertrandite, gold and silver

this is a start... I start by going to the system map while in station... go down the list of planets and write down any that are under 8 ly from the station ( this is a 1 jump) range. go to the galaxy map and look each of the planets up and note their imports and exports... when I get to a target planet... open up the commodities table. On the upper right corner there is a drop down... chose a new target planet and the items that the planet you are on will show what it imports and exports on an irregular basis.

hope this helps jump start your search for resources... will be glad to help just look me up.

Ah thanks a lot I will buy a ship and sell it there so I can have it at the location i want. And Yahtahey thats great I'll do that as well. Yay no more trafficing illegal goods to make a quick buck :D. My goal is to mine / bounty hunt as a primary income source, but I need to mine a while to outfit that great bounty hunting ship :)
