Another one into the black

Good luck, Commander! I may be heading out for a short trip myself pretty soon. I've been in the bubble since I got back from Sag A*, and I'm starting to go a little sturcrazy. A trip out a few kly may be just what the doctor ordered.

So it started well...............

On leaving Diaguandri, shieldless, I clipped the edge of the mailslot and the following cmdr ran into the back of me. Knocked a few percent off the hull integrity but hopefully didn't do too much damage to himself.

Dropped in to Obsidian Orbital for repairs and will head out into the black a little later once the sun has set and I can see where I'm going...

Day 3: Crossing the void. Since I left the California Nebula, my routing computer had developed a glitch - despite there being plenty of scoopable stars, the computer ignores them entirely. I am being forced to manually plot routes within my fuel range to a scoopable star. This is becoming tiresome already.

There is a nebula nearby which is like a beacon in the dark - according to the charts, it contains dozens of black holes. I will be visiting there on my way back... I am heading for the Heart and Soul Nebulas and should be there by Sunday if all goes well. The bear has taken to wearing an ammo belt and has found a crossbow. I'm now worried.

The route planner ignores star types, it only calculates optimum distances. A small ship with a 32T tank wil almost never have to replot. An Anaconda with a 16T tank will almost always have to replot.
