I just went there and the moon in question was clearly outside the ring system by at least it's own diameter. Wonder where the difference comes from.

Probably because it has an elliptical orbit.

I think you may have been in the wrong location. I just rechecked today with the new GPU, not even 24 hrs later and was able to cross through the threshold. The moon is most definitely intersecting with the plane of the rings.

I updated the initial video with a better one of the SRV crossing the plane.
