Another player found in the Pleiades

I have been traveling for the last week or so across to the Pleiades Nubula, fully scanning all the systems on route. This is my first trip out away from the core systems.

After days of coming across empty systems and the odd iterdiction from NPC's, I finaly got to the system MAIA in the middle of the Pleiades, a system with many interesting features and my first experience with a black hole !!!!

What a wonderful suprise to find another player here in the system also exploring. We had a brief chat about our exploring and wished each other the best of luck.

There is a system near by which needs a permit to enter, not sure what that's all about as there are no habitated systems for maybe 100LY..

Anyway, here are a few pic's of my long but fun journey, I am not the best photographer and I know there are better images on the forum, but for a first attempt at a voyage out into the black, I was quite happy

A metal / lava planet

Finally, the black hole at the centre of the Pleiades. Not much to see except the lensing of the background stars into a halo around the black hole itself.

Wow, I haven't seen a planet like that before. I may have to go on a wonder again at some point. I'm just saving up for an ASP myself and then the games begin. There is a bright blue star that I keep seeing, I've found this on the galaxy map and I'm hoping to visit this system soon, will have to take a leaf out of your book and share my findings with the guys along with way. I hope it is as good as it looks.

Dear god, why?

I thought it would be a good idea to test out the exploration mechanics and see what kind of reward I could clock up. I have an advanced scanner so at least I didnt have to find everything each time, just fly and detail surface scan planets.

Things were going well, until I got wiped out by a imperial clipper about 2/3 of the way out. Not good and all the data lost.

I will update and let you know what sort of reward I get when I finally get back to civilisation

Well that's interested. I flew near a HIP system that needed a permit. Will be interested to see what they do with these.

I'm at the gates of the Pleiades too. Hope to meet you guys and girls there.
I will make all the main stars. Alcyone, Atlas, Electra, Maia, Merope, Taygeta, Pleione, Celaeno, Sterope II and Asterope.

If you have not visited the star system HIP 18625 yet, make it on your way home.
It has 2 candidates for terraforming and 2 water worlds with carbon water-based life as well.
Exploration will give surely a good amount of credits.
