Another screenshot has surfaced!

This time, it's a larger view if the hippo exhibit!

This looks nice!

But I have to be honest, when looking at the flora, I really feel these assets have just been copy-pasted from PlanCo.

No need to reinvent the wheel if it's the same art style :)

O certainly, it must have saved a lot of time in designing that part of the game. But I have to keep being reminded that the lack of variation in flora in Planco doesn't help me create something different to what I've build before.

But it's clear to see that the nature scenery pieces are the same as in Planco.

I expect there will be different things too. As needed for different enclosures. Maybe we will get in Planco if we are lucky too

I see no problem with that at all.
If a dev can work more efficiently that way it is good for the dev and in the end it is good for the gamers.

Are we so sure? Its possible the water is evenly leveled with the bottom of the windowed opening. I feel like its hard to tell
It's indeed hard to tell but it would make sense to have underwater viewing available seeing the Hippo swim in such clear water.
With the terrain tools we can go even lower, so I'm not to worried about the water level.
What this picture shows is that we can build walls in ponds and it holds the water.
Put some windows in it and you have underwater viewing.

Right, good point! I wonder then if these types of walls are preset, or do we get to create our own dimensions and style?

The screens look great so far.
Like people saying about the copied planco flora, I think it’s an obvious choice. I think the only thing they have to change is the interface and naming. They should be ordered to biome and I think it won’t fit when they are named like Green Bush Large 2. It will fit better when they are more scientific described, so we’ll see how this will end up.

For the doubt about the underwater view. I’m curious why this isn’t mentioned yet: there is a screenshot in the PC Gamer magazine with another angle of the same hippo exhibit in which you can see the waterline on the windows, much higher than the total height of the windows.

So both screens combined, it must be an underwater view.

Only one thing worries me about this screen and that’s the ‘swimming’ hippo. It’s always a big misconception, but hippos don’t swim and can't float. They walk on the bottom like astronauts, so like here in the deeper water, this hippo should be totally underwater. I hope this is something they will improve to make it realistic.

I still have my doubts if this confirms underwater viewing. It looks to me that the base of the glass is level with the water. But I can see why someone would have a different opinion. It's hard to tell from these pictures. So to me we just have to wait for an official yes or no to underwater exabits from the developer.

Oh, theres is no problem at all.

I just hope for more variation in flora.
Because that is something Planco is lacking in IMO.

And if we get new flora add those to both games.

Geekism makes so interesting observations about the water in his video.

It's a nice video. But it's a still screenshot. There is not a lot that you can see from that, other than that the layer "looks" different than compared to Planco.
And the trailer we all know is a bit beefed up to look good.

My bet is it will still be the same "layer system" as Planco provides. Hopefully with the ability to place water closer to paths and so.

It is a video from someone who plays Planco a lot so he must be noticing something different. But in the end most everything is speculation right now.
