Another Super Cruise question...

Hi all,

I'm currently a noob for ED although played it in the eighties.

Now here's where I'm at......been playing a few hours after jumping on board on the latest Beta release. I'm going up the steep learning curve at the moment with this game and getting there slowly but I have a game breaking problem right now....

I jump into a system and go into super cruise, lock up my destination and head towards it, When it comes up on the screen safe to disengage or something like that I press "C" and .....nothing! I just keep zooming around in super cruise all the time. Only way I can stop it is to head to my destination and when near it exit the game, then reload it and it normally saves me near the target.

"J" works ok but"C" does absolutely nothing at all.

I'm using a Thrustmaster Warthog stick and throttle, rudder pedals for yaw and a TrackIR.

Has anyone got a full diagram of the switch allocations on the TMW?

Cheers for any help........

Greetings,

"C" used to be the key to disengage SC, but now it is "J".

Hyperspace and SuperCruise are now controlled through the single "J" key.

Hope that helps.

Thanks a lot for the quick reply......

Ok I will try that next time and see what happens!

Maybe they need to update the controls diagram in options as it still states in there the C key for Super cruise!

Thanks again buddy

Hi Bart. A little thing I found quite early on with super-cruise is to put my throttle indicator in the middle of the blue section of the throttle slider. The indicator should turn bright blue. If you have flight assist on the ship should now handle all the throttle controls itself and all you need to do is keep the station or planet in the centre of the HUD until you get below 1,000km. Then you get the "safe disengage" message and you can press "J". This should drop you right onto the station within about 20km-40km.

Sometimes it will look like it's going to overshoot (and occasionally it does, but don't panic). If that happens, just put the thottle back in the blue, and turn to face your destination and you should get there.
