Another what killed me thread? PVE

As the title says what killed me?

In Maia fighting for the feds in my Corvette, I was fighting an Elite Conda with what seemed like infinite SCB and Chaff and eventually killed him I used 2 SCB during the fight. I was being hit by 3 or 4 other ships during this which is normal. But when the fight ended I had 2 bars in my shield and then BANG shields gone and down to 40% hull and canopy gone.

Corvette has 2600 Shield with 2000 Integrity (modded shield, modded boosters etc), I have been engineering for weeks and normally only leave a conflict zone when I run out of ammo. The only other player around was my wingmate who was engaging the 3 or 4 other ships.

Whatever hit me did a serious amount of damage, an amount I have not seen Does anyone know what can do that?

No, not without having been there, or some kind of video to review. It could simply be the result of those 4 other ship all hitting you at the same time. This and anything else suggested would simply be guessing.

Im thinking now its lag, wingmate reckons I took more than a "few" hits during the fight. I have never experienced that in this game before. Where damage reg is delayed.

Servers are not running very well at the moment.

I had the same exact thing happen to me during a gank in Corvette, full shield to 0 and 40% hull in split second, I blamed it tripping on my own torpedo, and then written off probably as torpedo bug, but reading what happened to you pretty much happened to me, maybe theres a larger bug at work here?

Did you check your modules, was your shield generator destroyed?

FYI. When encounter those Anacondas with SCBs (which most of them have), ram them as soon as you can. That will take down their shields in one go so they can't use the SCBs, and you'll take a lot less damage yourself.

I like to refer to it as giving them a love tap before I blow their face off.

Kinda weird with the 40% specific thing, I did not check Generator as I had 5 minutes to land as in my Bravado of having made my own Federal Annilhihator I skimped on life support(to save jump range)

Ships were teleporting a bit during the fight I will ram sometimes but I have Level 5 Incendiary MCs...I normally dont need to.

Are the anacondas spawning ship launched fighters? It's my experience in mining RES sites that, although they are red in the HUD (if the mother ship is red), you receive a bounty if you attack them !

Yes, it was exactly 40%

Sounds like you'll probably rammed by another ship or two. The thing with modded shields is the don't do anything for ramming. This being said, with out being their I can't be sure that this is what happened but rams are the only thing that makes me bank in my pve vette and it has half your shields.
