Don't know why I don't just buy them all but I've been sort of slowly filling up my black friday paint inventory each year - my logic is if I don't own the ship and fly it now, no real point buying the BF paint.
But as each year goes by, of course so does my general credit balance - so been slowly adding ships to my fleet and kitting them out. By adding I mean not just buying and trying out, then eventually selling - but deciding to permanently keep for a specific role or 2nd version of a role I like.
Which means each year I have 3-4 more ships and I buy those BF paints. I'm now down to the small transition ships (ones you go through on way to the ship of choice -like T6 on way to T7/9) and odd ducks that don't fit their presumed role well (passenger ships that doesn't do passengers better than regular ships).
Assuming K-phantom and Mamba aren't giant bombs, all I have left now is wait for next year and buy those plus the PAX ships if they are decent after the slot restrictions are gone.
As usual though, sure wish store purchases were unlocked across all owned accounts. I still refuse to buy cosmetics 2x/3x for my 2nd-3rd accounts.
