Anti-Aliasing after Odyssey?

Hi All!

I used to play ED quite a bit a while back but took a break Pre-Odyssey. I picked up Odyseey yesterday and noticed that the Anti-Aliasing looks terrible. I'm assuming this has to do with the new lighting incorporated in Odyssey so I went back to Horizons and it looks like all the jaggies are there now as well. Was this caused by a recent update or something? I certainly don't remember the Aliasing being that bad when I used to play Horizons. The amount of jaggies/swimming textures is quite jarring. Running max FSAA and SMAA doesn't seem to rectify it (of course I leave FSR off as that would make it look even worse). I currently run at 3440x1440 resolution.

Any ideas?

Thanks for your time! :)

Ughh...Ok. I tried everything. They seriously need to fix this. It's the worst aliasing I've seen in a game in years and years. I voted in the issue tracker as well.

I don't have a trained eye, so I can't tell the difference between various types but my impression is that the only thing that was done with the AA was introducing a drop down menu in the graphics settings to pick one option, and that's it. Nothing happens, like a placeholder. 🤷‍♂️

Super sampling is the only thing that makes the slightest difference. Its always been poor but it now at a total new level of bad. Orbital lines are unusable. Im running at 1080p so my problem is much worst than yours but SS at 1.5 runs okay with my 3060 GPU. I dont know what they have done with AA. Its not this bad on any of there other games.

All of the AA options still work; the setting isn't a placeholder. However, they've always been quite subtle and Odyssey has some areas that are much more prone to aliasing that others.
