Well, David Braben did say about griefers all ending up in the same instance together. But I think there are still many flaws in that implementation.

I think there's flaws in the Titanfall implementation too. Now people will play it specifically to end up on that cheat server. When you give exclusive content for bad behaviour then people will actively seek out that exclusive content. Maybe that's their idea, mind. Maybe they think a whole cheaters no-rules area will be an extra customer stream.

Didn't David Braben mention something like this for greifers in a recent interview, I.e : greifers could be instanced only with other griefers ... same could apply to cheaters too i expect. It's a fantastic idea :D

That's not exclusive content, just a matchmaking algorithm that knows about whether a player has been recorded cheating or not, separates cheaters from honest players.

It's brilliant in that they have found a way to let cheaters still play the game without them having to spend more money on cheats (which may harm the businesses that sell the cheats)

Even if they can't directly meet non-cheating players they can still wreck the economy and injected events.

In the case of Elite cheaters have to be banned from the on-line persistent universe altogether.

In other words, cheaters will have to live with being banned, even if they subsequently remove the cheat!

Me liking these guys even more. Heck, might be even worthwhile to look up the game.

Got this game and have been getting owned since it came out, do wonder if I will notice any differences now the cheaters won't be about.
