Anti griefer CG suicide-winder interdiction units...

EDIT: and seemingly what Cmdr's really wish to discuss, which is the mechanics of blocking other players.
................

I have an idea to promote a group of suicide-winder interdiction pilots, at the next trade CG in game.

The idea being to buy a stock sidewinder in the CG station, fit a B or C class cheapish interdictor and continually interdict pilots who are behaving in an antisocial way.

Then simply self destruct, and repeat. Thereby keeping the nasties occupied and out of the hair of decent hardworking cmdrs who are contributing to the game.

The rebuy is minimal. Any takers?

EDIT: There are a couple of groups already engaged in this activity see:

Thanks for sharing those, CMDRs.

I prefer this.

Visit any community goal, enter the station return to surface. Alt-tab and get on with something else when you hear explosions alt-tab back and have a look (this is why you are at the surface). If you see people ramming, dropping mines, doing the torpedo thing, target one add him to your block list, alt-tab check you-tube for the same CMDR griefing and grab the names of anyone flying with him, pencil them into your to be blocked list. Go AFK for an extended period when you come back check your contacts list and block any of the names on your list it has grabbed.

You can hurry this process up by assuming anyone whose avatar has clown face paint, neon hair and a purple exhaust is a griefer (check you-tube first).

Congratulations you've just fixed Elite Dangerous.

Or, for those who can afford it, get an Imp Eagle, engineer it up so it's fast (hopefully faster than the griefers), then after interdicting a griefer, speed out & either SC or jump system so you can return quickly to target other griefers or pirates.
I'm thinking of the build used to try to protect Salome in the April event. I still have my Imp Eagle, IIRC it boosts @ ~640, is that fast enough?
If it isn't, the rebuy isn't that much ;)

You won't need to self destruct....

;).

That's a cool idea. I think my Eagle boosts at around 600. Though for the shear humiliation of it I'm still thinking sidewinder.

This is what I use my Imperial Courier for. :D

So far, it's the only use I've found for any of the Imperial ships. :p

I haven't actually tested it out yet though. It's still a WIP.

A better idea is to fit them with advanced thrusters with DD, interdict them, run and repeat. My sidey boosts to 660 with full armor/weapons and I use this method often to deal with idiots.

Cool, thanks for the tip.

Sidewinder and boost.

I think I have a set of enhanced drives stored in Deciat.

So weird face tattoos and colors just causd people like silly appearances automatically make them a griefer? Also the block list abusing like that to hide when in Open (just go to mobius) is just sad.

Don't the bad guys wear the black helmets?

Some groups have already done this, both before and after engineers, by equipping ships so that they were as fast as possible and often weaponless save for an interdictor.

They would then proceed to pull unknown players out of SC and boost away before low-waking back into SC to do it all over again until the targeted player left the area or changed modes.

This was done to prevent them from attacking other players in a CG system. No suicide necessary.

A modified-for-speed iCourier would be one of the best ships for this currently.

Nope, the station griefers at the last CG all looked like that. I also said you should check tube first, in case it's just someone whose aesthetically challenged. Unless you feel lazy then you could just block them anyway, it's not like it matters.

Also the block list abusing like that to hide when in Open is just sad.

Can you source me something that indicates it's an abuse of the block-list and not exactly what I think it was always intended for.

(just go to mobius)

No thanks.

You do realise that putting somebody on your block list doesn't stop them from instancing with you, jusrt less likely. But has been said b4 just a bit sad and petty if you play in open and use it that way.

sorry if this is OT but i just had to put my 2 cents on the block feature:

Probably not is better than probably when it comes to very boring players.

My game my rules.
