Anton Schwarzkopf Steel Looping roller coaster

Not everyone who plays this are super into actual parks, know anything about the history, nor necessarily care as that's not why they play. No need to be condescending about it. Educating those of us who don't know is fine, but the sarcasm isn't really necessary and is kind of off-putting.

Well said Lillibat.

Some of us can't ride these ride due to health reasons so PC is about as close as I will get.

I don't get it, we already have steel coasters with loops, and coasters like boomerang allow backwards travel.. The name "Anton Schwarzkopf" sounds like a brand, not a technology or physical characteristic. Personally I'd like a Coca-cola drinks shop because the "Planco Soda" is just not the same!

I agree with you, because there are still so many missing things in the game currently, that honoring Schwarzkopf shouldn't be a priority at the moment. It could be done in the future, but we have already a good number of different types of coasters now, whereas we completely lack other fundamental attractions (like elevators, chairlifts, water attractions, just to name a few). But I see that there are many people that thinks otherwise, perhaps because they're coaster enthusiasts, and they are probably more interested in the coasters simulation (and history) that in the whole park simulation and management experience.

I for one would love to see Schwarzkopf coasters in game. But I would also love to see many other things as well. One thing do not exclude the other.

In fact I didn't say that I would exclude it. I talked of priorities. As we can see, the Devs must have priorities, because they simply can't make all the things that the people request (or perhaps they can, but only in a several years timespan). So, from my point of view, they should currently prioritize the overall completeness of the types of attraction available, not to talk of other parts of the game where there are still shortcomings or missing features.

Umm... Are you kidding? Surely you know who Anton Schwarzkopf was.

No, Your Honor, I have no knowledge of this man. [uhh]

*Quickly scans Wikipedia*....

So it's true his name is also a brand. Steel looping coasters... we have those already. We have similar coasters with nuts and bolts and steel structures and tracks similar to what the Schwarzkopf brand makes or once made. I'm just not seeing enough difference with "his" rides to what you as a player of PC can already make in the game.... as in, smooth loops and whatever else made them distinct.

You could always call your coaster the Anton S Coaster, and stick a sign up to honour him if you want. Build a whole park around the man... A bit strange, I mean he's been dead for almost 20 years. I don't see the relevance of bringing specific "legends" or manufacturer names to the game.

If you say Looping Coaster, you think Schwarzkopf. Not having rides in PlanCo that resemble (and honour) one of the greatest names in Rollercoaster history is actually quite sad.

Sorry but if you say "looping coaster" you think "coaster with loops", not a 20th century German engineer. [mouth shut]

One of the most notable omissions is a "shuttle loop" coaster, where a car launches out of the station, goes through a loop, and then, and comes back (similar to a boomerang but a little bit different as there isn't a lift hill dragging the car out the back).

And there it is... "a little bit different".

If it's the difference between a lift hill vs no lift hill that makes a coaster "Schwarzkopfian", then you've lost me!

But I like learning new things, and today have learned about Schwarzkopfian coasters (and how they're a little bit different to what we have in game now) [big grin][tongue]

I apologize for sounding condescending. I was just surprised you hadn't heard of his work and contributions to the industry. [sad] I'm a nice guy... Really. I'm really sorry for sounding sarcastic. Please forgive me and please don't think of me as mean... I'm really not.
