Any big changes coming soon?

I know that the ED developers have promised that this game will be fueled by updates over the course of a long time, and that they will practically treat it like their child in terms of gaming, but are any of the good updates coming out soon? I know not to expect planet side modules or even first person modules for quite a while, but I'm talking about core game play elements. The wings update has been the biggest update so far, but all that really did was make the game pretty much playable with other people, which was nearly impossible in private servers before then. (My friend literally glitched into a different server after he overran my brothers phase wake, and it took 10 minutes for him to get back to our server) But still, all you can do with others is join a wing, chat a little, kill some bounties or mine, and then get a few of the credits when one of you trades an object. It is enough to hold me for now, but they definitely need to add some more features.

I don't really mean for this to be an idea for updates thread, because i'm more on the side of asking a question, but some things that I believe would make the game have a longer sustainability would be:

1. A way to interact more with players, like the trading and sharing of goods or credits directly, instead of just dropping some cargo you bought with a unstable selling price (that is the value of roughly the amount of credits you wish to give him) next to him, abandoning it, and then have him pick it up, (which he might accidentally destroy if not careful) and then he has to dock again and make sure he will be getting his full money's worth and that the price didn't change, before finally selling it. I just want to point and click basically to trade with my wing mates.

2. Missions worth more money. Even the highest paying/rarest/hardest missions only give you like $100,000-$200,000, and to get a ship remotely good (without factoring in equipment) would require at least a few dozens of those missions, including the other bounties/trading you would do in the intermission. If they had missions worth like $3,000,000, then that would speed things up a lot. They don't have to be easy, they can be help a fleet clear a war zone for all I care, but the staggering lack of alternative missions worth more than $60,000 is astounding. I really don't know how people even have anaconda's with any good equipment at this point unless they have been grinding the game non stop since release. (Which I don't have the will power to do for the reasons I am mentioning now, even with all of my friends helping me.) Most people have to agree, the biggest flaw of this game is the repetitive grinding for money in one way or another.

And finally, 3. More reasons to explore space. Their isn't really much reason to explore space except to meet the different factions and see colorful new stars and planets. Like I said, with the staggering lack of money involved with missions and really no reason to find stellar phenomena, exploring around for stuff is more of a waste than gain. Once you have found a decent system, the systems nearby are probably pointless, and to go around 50 star systems out would probably only be a waste of fuel and time you could've spent making money.

I know the factions update is near release, but I really don't know what it is going to add besides flushing the factions out a little more, which I don't think the factions even have enough right now to even be worth trying to expand upon without more ground work. So far the federation seem exactly like the empire, just with different ships and influence name. They both have no notable people outside of special little news feeds, they have different ideals but I can't really tell. The empire try's to expand as much as the feds, they fight for the same things, and their police and general population act the same. The federation also seems just as good a place to trade as the empire, despite apparently focusing more on trading and other smaller things, and the empire seems just as good a place to make war as the federation, despite apparently fighting more for expansion and honor and glory etc.

So what do you guys think about this and what do you think they should add in upcoming updates?
