Proposal Discussion Any chance of more clothing merchandise?

As the title says, hope they add more to the shop as I personally don't like wearing black T-shirts. Hope they come out with some sort of Hoodie in different colours other than black!

Any one else got any other suggestions for merchandise ?

What about high quality posters?!

one of the problems with T-shirts is sizing, you can never order in exactly what sells unless you print to order. either way its a lot of money.

same goes with other items, its hard to know what stock levels you will need and can be a big investment in both stock and staff time. FDev isn't really the ideal set-up for a retail operation selling physical goods so unless they licensed ED related merchandise to someone else to do on their behalf i cant see it happening before the game is released.

Yeah wouldnt expect it happening any time soon, I'd love to get a Tshirt but yeah the sizes can be a nightmare, I bought a Daggerfall Tshirt from the Bethesda store (love Daggerfall, best in the Elder Scrolls series if you ask me) got it in Large and its just a tad too small, pretty much wasted £10.

I doubt FD actually have stock of any of the merchandise they currently offer. It's more likely that it's all print on demand with a wholesale partner. It's far more cost effective, and there are literally hundreds of companies out there that offer the service both as wholesale and retail. Especially for T-Shirts.

Either way, don't really need to wait for FD to offer it. The Elite Dangerous logo is readily available on the web so head over to one of the many sites that offer customised t-shirts and get your own in precisely the colour you want.

Could even get some of those fancy wallpapers printed on a tee.

There's no reason I can see that the merchandising couldn't be expanded. A selection of branded merchandise can be sold at arms length by licensing artwork, which they have in abundence, to a print-on-demand supplier. FD would obviously prefer to be making money to support the game, but that's still no reason not to start out with arms-length sales and later move the proven high volume items in-house. If they had started this a year and a half ago they would now have plenty of information on which to base their own marketing strategy.

I would like to buy an "I went to Anderson escape" t-shirt or polo shirt like the one I saw posted as a joke some time ago :D
