Any creative ways to "favourite" systems / locations?

You'll lose some rep with the faction giving you the mission but imo, it is worth the convenience.

I may try that or I may just buy a Sidey and park them in my favorite places. I have many notes ... I actually dedicated a moleskin to ED but the problem is, when viewing the GalMap, having those icons at your home base(s) shining through the haze of stars really helps orient your self.

It's even more vital in VR- to save you having to do the "nose peek" out of the little gap in the middle of the DK2

I'll admit that I have been watching this thread in case anyone came up with any brilliantly weird ideas that I could steal- but the problem still seems largely unresolved. We should keep cheerfully suggesting a bookmarks system for the galactic map.

I use VA to open galaxy map, hit the navigation tab and automatically type in the name of the system I want, then hit the search button to take the cursor there. I need only issue a voice command for the required system I want to target it in the galaxy map.

I simply have notepad open on the desktop. 2 actually. It's easy to paste system names into the galaxy map.
I take a screenshot to copy them from as my old brain can't reliably memorize DRYAU AOWSY GK-I C9-1056
Alt-Tab is my most used key combination in ED.

I could also switch to windowed mode to copy the names, yet the screenshots come with timestamp for free.
Plus I had to dive into the recycle bin a couple times already when I still had not copied a name correctly.
