Ship Builds & Load Outs Any experience of efficacy of the mirrored armour variant?

Dear all,

has anybody fitted or used the mirrored armour variant? Does it have any noticeable improvement in PvE engagements, I wasn't sure with elite assassinations where NPC targets power plant asap this does mitigate the rapidity of the damage. Or if face tanking with this fitted does slow down hull damage in a laser shoot out?

I know that Power Plant targetting bypasses all/some of any armour hardening applied or intrinsic to the ship, but as i am a bit ropey in nimble maneuvering i am looking for any assistance in PvE engagements.

Yes - I use them on my Vulture and on a few occasions (conda kill missions) my shields were dropped because I wasn't fast enough with my SCB. Lasers really do reduced damage to my hull. Very noticeable and allowed me to stay around and finish off the enemy. The added weight of the MSC (35t) slows you down but even with the lightest bulkheads the vulture isn't outrunning most ships.

I prefer the Military grade composite. The jack of all trades can save you, because you gain on thermic damage but you lose on kinetic and vice versa. Be carful with your choice, because if you encounter someone using ammo or a combination of both laser and cannons you'd die faster then with the military grade because of the weakness the specialized armors have.
