Any experience with mixing elephants?

What happens if you mix elephants in with other species? I have a large Savannah mixed species habitat which I’m going to redesign as it’s a bit rubbish at the moment and wondered about combining my elephants in there?

Are they aggressive etc?

They aren't aggressive. They can be mixed in with other African species, but they don't get an enrichment bonus from it.

What about mixing Indian and African elephants? I want to make a separate habitat for bull elephants and I want to combine them to save space

Elephants should work fine. But be careful with Hippos 😉

This should work but a Indian Elephant wouldn't count towards the Group Size for an African Elephant.
Funfact: there was a Hybrid between the African and Asian Elephant. Sadly he didn't live very long

Thank you! I wish it did! I was inspired to mixed them based on the San Diego zoo’s elephant odyssey
