Community Event / Creation Any interest in an Edinburgh-based E:D event?

Any other year, I'd take a stab at organising it, but I can't this year. However, I'd still like to see it happen, so perhaps I can seed the idea to have someone take it on?

There are a lot of us based in and around the central belt of Scotland, and plenty who would travel to the fine City. Would people attend an Edinburgh-based Elite: Dangerous event in late-Autumn 2014?

Would anyone be willing to take on the organising? Not a trivial undertaking, but I would certainly be willing to offer some assistance tapering off until July when my world is turned upside down.

The answer seems to be no unfortunatley. I'd be well up for this and willing to help out but I'm based in Stirling and don't know Edinburgh very well. But as I say I'd be happy to help out setting up a room or whatever.

:) Well, still plenty time. Perhaps around the formal commercial launch post-gamma or something....?

Worst comes to the worst I'm sure we can organise an (coughs) "Event" in a pub somewhere for all us central Scottish types and have a beer or two.
