Any list of Ships visited Sag A* thus far?

Is there a way to find out the type of ships visited Sag A* thus far since Cmdr Zulu Romeo in his Cobra? I am checking inara.cz and edsm and really finding any definite info.

Just curious to see what are the most popular ships people are taking to Sag A* and which ships never seen the black hole.

Only 3.66 ly away from Sagittarius A * is the system Stuemeae FG-Y d7561, where Explorer's Anchorage is located.
You could check the ships log there for an idea since that station was built and they will all have gone there for a cup of really hot tea.

Oh I had no idea there was a station that close! Thanks for the info. Forgive my ignorance, but how do I check 'Ship's Log' of a station or a system?

It's the Detailed Traffic Report. Scroll down until it appears and then click on it.

Yikes!

An admirable quest for information!
I am on quest to find out the most neglected ship and very unlikely ship for exploration then take that to go see the stars. :)
May be it's a futile attempt, but hey it can be a worthwhile challenge. This will be a minimum of 250,000 Ly journey.
Currently in the top of the list is Hauler as it is the smallest ship of all. I was surprised that it was even smaller than a sidewinder.

Sure I can take a large ship with all Toys and a king size bed, but I am in ED to do the stuff of imagination. :D
Seriously though, I just want to try the challenge without dieing of course. I am not into big ships at all and do not plan to upgrade to somewhat end game ships. If that was the case my goal would have been focused on making (grinding :D ) lots and lots money. I just want a simple living and tinker my ships to see what is possible.

I'm pretty sure every kind of ship type was at SgrA* already except the PantherClipper maybe ;)

^not about SgrA* but maybe still useful for your intention :)

I guess it depends on how you define "unlikely". People have explored with everything, but some are more underpowered than others. The Hauler actually has a pretty decent jump range, all things considered. The Sidewinder and Eagle are probably among the most restrictive in terms of outfitting, and have a reasonably lackluster jump range. ;) :D

EDIT: The Viper Mk3 and the Mamba / Fer-de-Lance are also suitably lackluster explorers. :)

I can recommend an 18Ly T7 for exploration :)
I rented a T7 few weeks ago because needed to haul some large cargo. Got a chance to try it out then. I like the way it looks but it is too large for my taste. Also I noticed it gets hot way too fast during scoop. If it was a medium class, it probably would have been permanent truck for me. View of course is soo suitable for exploration.

It turns quickly and I never really had a problem scooping, I suppose I just got used to it.
I used mine to go to Colonia in because I was taking a load of cargo. By the time I got there the CG was over by a few months :)

The T7 does pretty well with a low emissions power plant. Some ships will overheat in the deeper scooping zone no matter what you do, such as the Courier. But the T7 can manage it. With stock heat tuning, yeah, it'll run a bit warm compared to a lot of the standard exploration ships.

I just realised that I'm a long-time Courier pilot - probably did half of my exploration in one. (I'm currently at 67k systems total.) The thing with the Courier is that while it can't stay long deep in the scooping zone, it doesn't need to. The 3A fuel scoop maxes its rate out before that, and then there's no reason to go deeper. In my experience, if you're a bit careful, you can easily go without overheating your ship. (That is, not going over 100% heat and starting to take module damage.)

Also, the thing with the Courier is that in my opinion, its stock 8T fuel tank is oversized. Going down to 4T will still get you almost three full jumps in the tank, and a full scooping time of 22 seconds. (Or slap a 2T class 1 internal tank in there for 6T fuel in total, which is one more jump, and 34 seconds.) You could certainly do worse.

Now, speaking of the most rare ships used for exploration... There are also the DW2 statistics, especially the ships which arrived. It's pretty much "pick one of the worst exploration ships" though. That said, pretty much any ship is quite good at exploration these days, so... (Consider this: today, every ship except the Sidewinder has jump range exceeding the Asp Explorer's before Engineers, and comparable internals.) I suppose the most underused would be the ones which are both worse and more widely considered to be ugly.
Hm... Asp Scout, maybe?

Yeah the Courier was totally manageable when I explored with mine. It just means that you can't go into the deeper part of the scooping zone, open the FSS, and expect to not be on fire by the time you're done scanning. ;) My point was only that some ships can loiter there and others can't, and how you engineer the power plant will make a large difference on that as well.

What surprised me was that the Beluga, a somewhat warm ship too, could actually loiter there with a G5 low emissions mod. Anything less, and it seemed to overheat too.

It's one of the things I try when I build a new ship for exploration.

Noble quest. :)

I was lucky to bring the first Keelback (pre-engineering) and FDL (post engineering, but prior the neutron boosts) to Beagle point, both are great exploration ships. The FDL's only drawback that once you fit a Guardian booster, you can't bring AFMU to fix your FSD. Otherwise the view from the cockpit is great and the ship is awesome for planetary flights (I always fitted A-rated thrusters).

Just take any ship that you like the best, that's the most important in the black, as you will be stuck with your choice for a long time. :)

Is it that busy in Colonia? 516 ships in 24 hours?
That's normal, yes. Usually 400-800 depending on the day of the week.

EDIT: The Viper Mk3 and the Mamba / Fer-de-Lance are also suitably lackluster explorers. :)
Even the FDL or Mamba can be pretty good nowadays - https://s.orbis.zone/69zr gives you a 40 LY range, superb fuel scooping rate, excellent canopy views, and SRV.

Viper III you can get close to 40 LY range with something like https://s.orbis.zone/69zy (again with SRV) though it's a little short on internals.

Most neglected will probably be the Asp Scout ;)

If you're looking for a small explorer, try the Eagle. It doesn't quite have the range of a Hauler, but you can get the jump range to 40+ and it's a much better cockpit view. Here's my build which went to Beagle Point https://s.orbis.zone/69-q
