Horizons Any news about the ship launchable planes?

Does anyone has any news about the ship launchable planes?
Which plans are set to be launchable planes?
I know the Sidewinder will be since it is the smallest. Any plane else?? Eagle? Imperial eagle? Courier??

99% certain it'll be the F63 Condor (CQC fighter ship) rather than a fighter with jump/cargo capacity, bearing in mind the Keelback is supposed to be getting the same fighter bay option (according to its in game blurb text).

Will laugh if it's "any" ship capable of landing on small pad though...

Imagine a conda or vette launching cobras or vultures.
Oh the hell i could cause

No ships big enough to launch the Eagles or Courier. Devs also stated that the sidewinder won't be launchable. Expect the F63 & Imperial fighter, hopefully they will add something like a small shuttle.

GAWD! I sure hope its not the F63!

I've been working some Conflict Zones this weekend and those tiny little "Flies" they call combat fighters don't last more than 3 seconds under the heat of my Dual C3 Beam Lasers! Talk about an EASY KILL!

I would like to have lanuchable Courier. It is one of the smallest of 'small' ships in fact.

The Courier is 137ft long, 88ft wide and 22ft high. Not small by any stretch of the imagination.

I'm personally hoping for an extra fighter like the "Hunter" or Krait.

One of those plus the 2 in the posts above would be perfect for when fighters come in 2.2

As stated it will be the small fed and imperial fighters.

They explicitly said the Sidewinder wouldn't be launchable because it can carry an SRV and they don't want a matryoshka doll effect. I personnally think it would have been cool as we could have used it to land on high G worlds without risking our Conda, or to land on small pads at ouposts

I'm still trying to figure out what a Conda pilot could possibly gain by making a sortie in a Condor. In any serious fight this ship would get blown up in less than three seconds as soon as someone got a lock on it. And it would take it minutes to down anything bigger than a small ship.

I dunno, fit even a single engineered railgun onto a Condor (or plasma repeaters from CQC) and I can see it being a thorn in anyone's side. It won't win the battle but I'm sure it can either sit outside firing arcs or do fly-by's at 700m/s with dirty drives. Sure it's a branch in a rather large tree but it all depends on drawbacks.
If the fighters come as standard with the ships (i.e. no module required) then it'll be a bonus everyone will use. If it requires a 4 or below slot I can see many people thinking, "Why not?" and swap it for a hull package. If it's a size 6 or above slot your statement is very true.

Also It may work well with healing lasers to have a support Condor or two re-juicing shields a touch.

This all assumes the launchable fighter'll be player pilotable of course ;)

I could also see it as being handy for courier jobs, if you don't want to switch to another ship and just want to land at an outpost, although quite why you'd want to do courier missions in a 'Conda I don't know... /grin

I don't see why not, it's meant to be a build up to multi-crew so it would make more sense to add it in. An early pre-view of some of the mechanics and a somewhat proof of concept.

Maybe for data courier but I can't see the condor or imp fighter being capable of fitting a cargo rack. Those things arn't that much bigger than cargo canisters iirc :p
