Any news Fdev?

We are approaching mid September, 4 weeks before the planned launch of patch 2.2 in mid October?

Can we get some tidbits, sneak peeks, screenshots even :D

My hypedrive is running low, I'm gonna need to call the Hype Rats soon :p

Don't expect 2.2 before end of October / beginning of November. I guess beta will start in 2 weeks so we should get news soon.

You mean other than the stuff they showed recently at Gamescom?
Yeah, ship transfer probably wont be instant anymore.

That was 3 weeks ago, we are approaching (and about to pass) the midpoint of being closer to release than the the announcements at gamescom.

I see. So you are clearly under the impression that they have developed something unbelievable and amazing in these last 3 weeks, something that was obviously not even an idea during gamecom 2016.

Hype withdrawal?

You Bet'cha :D

Also wanna see what the Corvette and Cutter paint jobs will look like etc,

They don't need to release game mechanic'ey info that might bite them like the Engineers special effects did (people planning builds around specials only for it to be a random luck thing at release)... just some more screenshots of the CQC like stations coming to the game etc

I see that you are clearly under the impression that trying to pontificate and belittle the OP is somehow adding quality input into the discussion....

I'm not asking for more features... just some more tidbits on what we were shown... more screenies.. cutter paintjobs etc ;)

now go back to your cave troll :p

I find it amusing you think that a few forum threads will change anything about how / when they release new information about 2.2
And I am pretty sure that if they were done with the Corvette or Cutter paintjobs, then they wouldnt wait until 2.2 to release them. They would add them to the store so people like me can buy them. They just released paintjobs for the FAS a few days ago, in case you havent noticed.

I may need to re-watch the livestreams. I heard "beta in mid October" not release mid-october. Although release is on average 2 weeks after beta so end Oct or 1st week in Nov would be my bet. If it's earlier i'll be elated but I'm not gonna go too wild just yet.

In any case we got a flood at Gamescon and we have EGX in 2 weekends time (I think) which usually has a pretty large Elite attendance. Expect news there. I also expect this is the point where the "road to 2.2 livestreams" will begin showcasing the new stuff with our good friend Mr Ed Lewis as that gives roughly 4 episodes which is good enough to cover the content without being too much that he runs out of things to show.

Kinda adds up when you look at it that way. I may be completely wrong but from a logic point of view that's how i'd do it if it were my game.

It's 5 (or maybe 6) weeks before any 'Mid-october' release, so I think you're a little optimistic in your timings :)

Also don't forget that any re-working of ship transfer will have an impact on the release, either it being removed or possibly delaying it. They probably aren't going to start to say anything more definite about beta and 2.2 release timings until that is clear.

The ship transfer vote ends to day doesn't it?

Yes, yes it does. Will be interesting to see (if we get to see) exactly what the turnout was and the vote. On the exit poll it was 70:30 but I expect the final to be closer to 60:40 if I'm honest. I don't know what FDev will make of it if it isn't a clear majority as they said they'd need a clear decisive vote...

They said release mid October.. also reinforced by Adam saying, "2.2 The guardians, coming mid October..." when he was doing the recaps.

They also made a few jokes when talking about beta... saying it will be "sometime before mid October"

Ah in that case colour me elated :D

Thanks, I just bookmarked them to re-watch after work, guess you saved me some time too.

Edit: I guess that messes up my timeline somewhat.

That in theory means the road to 2.2 livestreams could start as soon as next week recapping gamescon details with more announcements at EGX which can be livestreamed in the 2 weeks after.

Yea, I'm sure they have some new info to share on stuff that is already at the "too late to change" stage (meaning confirmed mechanics and content).

also some elaboration on the few things shown....

It doesn't need to be flashy new content, even if it's just interviews with the art team talking about the new station interiors etc (although those interviews I'm sure they are keeping for launch day stream when the servers are down :D )

Maybe even just an official recap of the Unknown mystery and interview with Michael Brookes about the mystery and how the players interacted with it etc..

Just some dialogue from the Devs, they been awfully quiet lately... I just wanna know they are still out there and doing alright? :D (poor Sandy has been the punching bag of the community and been the only one to show face lately)

Maybe a 'controversial' suggestion :D but have you checked the newsletter out? There was a screenshot of the ship transfer menus in it this week.
