Yes, yes it does. Will be interesting to see (if we get to see) exactly what the turnout was and the vote. On the exit poll it was 70:30 but I expect the final to be closer to 60:40 if I'm honest. I don't know what FDev will make of it if it isn't a clear majority as they said they'd need a clear decisive vote...

That in theory means the road to 2.2 livestreams could start as soon as next week recapping gamescon details with more announcements at EGX which can be livestreamed in the 2 weeks after.

Don't forget they are not on the show floor at EGX, it's just an Elite Meet. So no announcements or streaming from EGX. But hopefully Ed will be doing a few pre-launch YT streams like for the last couple of updates.

I suspect the size of riot more proportionate to what they deliver rather than when, but yup, any excuse for a good moan festival around here. For 2.2 I am expecting the usual wave of euphoria followed by various monsoons of woe. Aka business as usual.

fdev have very strict news policies that co incide with PR pushes and strict timetables on what can be said and when ( this isnt CCP games where they use the dev cycle as a promotional tool for upcoming expansions) its more of a ready when its ready thing and theres no loose lips sinking ships

A good portion of the work probably also goes into the alien stuff that they have to add for 2.2 - it's safe to say that there's a lot of work to be done. I wouldn't be surprised if beta started in the beginning of October.

in Beta all prices are usually 10% normal value, so you should be able to self destruct and choose the "free sidewinder in lhs 3447" option to ninja yourself back into the bubble

What about my credits 600 mil in cash (to burn), the fun with beta is doing silly things in very expensive ships. I will probably delay my trip, but all the ships and A rated parts at Jaques, FD - what do you think?

we have EGX in 2 weekends time (I think) which usually has a pretty large Elite attendance. Expect news there.

Frontier aren't at EGX this year at all, instead there's an official "fan gathering" on one of the mornings in a different venue.
