Just curious about any new information on the proposed API discussed in this thread:

Michael closed the thread back on 19 Feb, and its been tumbleweeds and wind for info on the API since. I'm working on my Computer Engineering degree and am about to begin classes in programming. I would really love a crack at the API for my first real programming project (I've been dabbling for years, never really got into it seriously until now).
This may have already been answered, the problem is this is, i believe, a vBulletin forum which has a 3 character limit on search terms, so when I search "API" I get nuttin. Some info from a mod or even Micheal himself would be great, even if its just a "we're still working on it, quit bugging us" post. Thanks!!!
