Any news regarding the 'Arena only displays on main menu' bug?

Title says it all. I hoped the recent update would fix it, but it hasn't.

Is there any news on this? I've uninstalled, hard-rebooted and re-installed my game and the same thing (the arena menu screen) keeps popping up, preventing me from playing either solo or online mode.

I already have done Error.

When I posted my support ticket 4 weeks ago I was told by FD that this bug (the one I'm experiencing) is being reported by other players' support tickets - therefore on behalf of them could a mod/support mod please give an update (or any) as to the progress towards fixing this bug?

PS - I'm a bit 50/50 as to whether to file a second support ticket for the same problem.

You can update your current support ticket with the reference number you received in your mail. And I advise you to do so.

This sounds like an isolated issue.

Arne, I accidentally lost my reference number during an e-mail spring clean and unfortunately I can't log in to Frontier Support to find said ticket number.

So looks like I'll be sending a new ticket number...

What does it say where open and solo mode should be? Does it say anything about your account not having permission, or are the options just not there?

I'm trying to log in here with my forum password and e-mail: https://support.frontier.co.uk/login.php

I can't see a password reset option anywhere, and when I do try and sign in, the message 'not authorised' is returned.

What does it say where open and solo mode should be? Does it say anything about your account not having permission, or are the options just not there?

The options for open and solo are just not there.

My main menu reads:

Training
Area
Friends
Achievements
Options
Credits
Terms and Conditions

To reiterate, this is the main menu that appears when Elite Dangerous loads - NOT Arena. I don't have Arena installed.

Ahh, it doesn't sound like the problem I had then, the options were there, I just couldn't select them.
That said, if you haven't tried it you've got nothing to lose. If you log out if your gamer profile, remove it from the xbox, reboot and sign back in again, that solved it for me.

In settings >> account >> sign in and passkey >> remove me from xbox.
Then, account >> remove accounts.
I was also asked by MS to then go to network >> network settings >> advanced settings >> alternate mac address >> clear
Reboot xbox
Load up game and it will ask you to sign back in with the account you bought the game with.
Hope it works for you cmdr
