Any one else tired of constant updates

I'm not sure if my timing of the purchase of this game sucks but I bought it a few days ago and to be honest have probably spent more time having to play the tutorials and waiting for the three hour long updates to download than I have actually carving a career for myself in game. Its been at least one a day so far, maintenance and other game updates but as there is no offline mode to the game (other than the training missions) then you are pretty much spending most of your free game time waiting...and waiting...and waiting. I appreciate that maintenance and updating games has to happen but as I'm new to the game can anyone tell me if it's just my bad luck or is it a regular occurrence to be kicked off the on-line version. All these updates are sucking the enjoyment out of Elite Dangerous for me.

Absolutely not. There is a ton of things to do, and minimal implementation featurs to replace and flesh out.

Honestly, what a bewildering question/statement/whining. You complain about getting free updates to your game? I guess at the same time you are one of the first to cry about how unfinished the game is ...

Whilst I sympathetic that many folk do not have great internet connections or capped limits, I for one would hate it if the free bugfixes and updates stopped.

You need to try to push your Net providers to up your speed.Try talking to your local council if you suffer from terribad net.

You mean, am I tired of FD adding new features weekly/semi weekly to keep the game interesting and not stale, constantly updating performance, adding ships, balancing weapons, improving AI, updating graphics, and improving the UI...

To the OP: you just came into the game when there was some frequently updating, yes its just bad luck. It will better after wings (1.2) update. Normally there arent as much updates. Dont loose your patience, this game is great!

Better constant updates then a buggy game. Take a break and bye bye. This is most stupd argument that I DON`T want to hear about a software.

Just hit wrong time. This usually happens after big update drops. Then it's update once a week and more or less calm. Be patient :)
