Any other Rifter explorers out there?

Unless I'm taking a screenshot, I only fly with the Oculus Rift. While it is epic and awesome and all the other things, some of the interface (mainly the galaxy map) does not work well.

Are there any other rifter explorers? We can swap tips and tricks and stories that sound boring and drug-induced to non-rifters (have you LOOKED at the floor under the dash of the Sidewinder???!!!?? It's soooo cooooll!)

PS- I have not looked under the dash of the sidewinder. Is it cool?

The great and bad thing about exploring in the Rift for me is the genuine uneasiness I get in systems with weird coloured stars. It's hard to explain.

I dont but was thinking about it. The only reason that stops me is the point that I cant see my controllers (HOTAS) and keyboard with it.

How do you handle that?

There's a gap just under your nose. If you look down without moving your head, you can see keyboard, mouse, and controller.

Generally, I don't need to see my Hotas to use it, and if you know the home keys you can touch type quite reasonably. It's a very solitary experience though, and if I have company I prefer to use monitors so I can speak with people and find my beer
